Abstract

ACCESSORY FOR DRINKING GLASSES that cools and maintains the temperature of the glass contents thanks to the presence of a thermal clamp (1), at the same time providing protection from the direct action of the sun to the external surface, in addition acting as an advertising or informative carrier. In order to do this it is constructed from a thermal clamp (1) that is adapted to the shape of the glass (2) having an extension at one point along its perimeter (3) with some union elements (4) at the free end for the connection of the rod (5), at the other end of which there are some connection elements (6) for the fixing of the body (7) that acts as the advertising or informative element. In turn, the rod (5) has a connection element (8) at a point on its perimeter which clips onto the rim of the glass to prevent the thermal clamp (1) sliding down the glass.

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention refers to an accessory for drinking glasses that incorporates significant innovations and advantages when compared to the present accessories or devices used for said purpose. [0001]
  • More specifically, the accessory of the present invention is made up of a thermal clamp that is adapted to the shape of the drinking glass, having an extension, at the other end of which there is a body to carry an element for advertising, information or similar and which, at the same time, protects the drinking glass against the heating effect of the sun. [0002]
  • BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
  • In general the traditional and most commonly used means for the cooling or maintenance of low temperatures of cool drinks contained in the drinking glasses, tumblers or similar items are ice cubes, or equally devices inside of which there are refrigerant liquids that require freezing for their correct usage. [0003]
  • These systems do not allow the arrangement of advertising or informative elements, hence it has been considered appropriate to develop the present invention accessory. This allows the temperature of the contents of the body or container to be maintained, at the same time performing an advertising or informative function to the users or persons located around it. [0004]
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The accessory for drinking glasses object of the present invention allows the cooling or maintenance of low temperatures of the drink contained on the inside, performing an advertising or informative function aimed at the users or people that are near, at the same time as protecting the contents of the drinking glass against the direct action of the sun's rays when used outside. [0005]
  • To do this, the accessory of the present invention is characterised by being made up from a thermal clamp that is adapted to the shape of the drinking glass to be handled, having at one point on its perimeter attachment means for a rod acting as a intermediate connector for the body which acts as the carrier for the advertising or informative device, this being so that the surface is suitable for inscriptions or similar. [0006]
  • The intermediate rod, along the length of its perimeter, has an element to enable it to be fixed to the rim of the drinking glass to prevent the thermal clamp from slipping down. [0007]
  • The connection elements that fix the clamp to the intermediate rod can, for example, be a thread, screwing, pressure coupling or any similar means, whilst the connector elements of the rod to the advertisement carrier can for example be a wing nut or similar that allows the body to turn on the rod, thus being able to be positioned in the most suitable manner or position. [0008]
  • In turn, the body that operates as an advertising element can have any shape, be it rectangular, oval, winding shapes etc., depending on the specific function for which it is going to be used. If for example, the external face, to be seen by users, is going to be used in bars or on terraces onto which dishes, bar snacks or the dish of the day are to be written, said surface must be larger than that used for the writing the drink brands. [0009]
  • Finally, it must be stated that the clamp, which can be adapted to any shape for its manufacture, in general, will be filled with a refrigerant liquid, coloured or not, or something similar. [0010]
  • In order to complete the description that is going to be made below and for the purpose of helping to give a greater understanding of its characteristics, the present description is accompanied by a set of drawings, which are by way of illustration and not by way of limitation, where the most significant details of the invention are represented.[0011]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the accessory of the present invention. [0012]
  • FIG. 2 shows a diagrammatic view of the application of the present invention.[0013]
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • In light of the commented on figures and in accordance with the adopted numbering, a preferred embodiment can be seen in same, however it is not by way of limitation on the invention. This consists of an accessory for drinking glasses that is constructed from a thermal clamp ([0014] 1) that is adapted to the shape of the drinking glass (2), having an extension (3) at one point along its perimeter with some union elements (4) at the free end for the connection of the rod (5), at the other end of which there are some connection elements (4) for the fixing of a rod (5) which in turn has some connection elements (1) for the fixing to the body (7) which acts as an advertising element.
  • In turn, the rod ([0015] 5) has a fixing element (8) on its perimeter in order to clip it to the rim of the drinking glass.

Claims (4)

1. Accessory for drinking glasses, that cools or maintains the temperature of the contents of the drinking glass, at the same time protecting the outside from the direct action of the sun, and which acts as an advertising or informative carrier, comprising: a thermal clamp adapted to the shape of the drinking glass having an extension fitted at a point on its perimeter, at the free end of which there are some connection elements in order to fit a rod and which in turn has at the counter end some connector elements to fix to the body and which acts as an advertising or informative carrier.
2. Accessory for drinking glasses, according to claim 1, wherein the rod has a connector element at a point on its perimeter in order to clip onto the rim of the drinking glass to prevent the thermal clamp from sliding down the drinking glass.
3. Accessory for drinking glasses, according to claim 1, wherein the connector elements of the rod and the advertising or informative body allow the body to turn on the rod, and thus be placed in the most suitable position.
4. Accessory for drinking glasses, according to claim 1, wherein the advertising or informative body is suitable for inscriptions.
