Abstract
An air pump having a high efficiency anti-vibration bottom seat is disclosed. The air pump includes a bending plate and a plurality of anti-vibration pegs. The vibration generated by the air pump is eliminated by the bending plate in combination with the anti-vibration pegs. The high frequency noise of the air pump is also reduced greatly by the combination of the bending plate and the anti-vibration pegs.

- (b) Description of the Prior Art
- Air pump is commonly found at home to inflate tires or inflatable boat, air-filled toys, etc. The air pump is normally operated with electric motor to drive a piston so as to produce high pressure air. As a result, it is unavoidable that vibration and high frequency noise are generated when the air pump is in operation.
- As shown in FIG. 1, there is shown a bottom seat for an air pump and the bottom seat A1 is mounted with anti-vibration rubber pad A2. Such combination may not provide synergistic effect and the anti-vibration effect largely depends on the anti-vibration pad A2, and the bottom seat A1 does not provide or assist in reducing vibration generated by the air pump. The function of the rubber pad A2 as anti-vibration is not effective and therefore, the air pump will move slightly when it is in operation.
- Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a bottom seat for air pump with high efficiency anti-vibration effect which mitigates the above drawback.
- An aspect of the present invention is to provide an air pump having high efficiency anti-vibration bottom seat comprising a bending plate and a plurality of anti-vibration pegs, characterized in that the bending plate is a H-shaped single plate structure having a surface for mounting of the air pump being provided with a plurality of pegging holes for mounting with the corresponding anti-vibration pegs so that the bending plate and the anti-vibration pegs are formed integrally, and the front and rear ends of the bending plate are mounted with a rubber pad being a positioning point of contact, and the rubber pad has a protruding bottom section to provide a soft contact with the ground; and the anti-vibration peg is made from rubber material having two pointed ends and the inner side of the pointed end is provided with a circular engaging groove for the engagement with the pegging hole so that the bending plate and the air pump are mounted as an unit.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an air pump having high efficiency anti-vibration bottom seat, which can be mounted to all kind of air pump.
- Still a further object of the present invention is to provide an air pump having high efficiency anti-vibration bottom seat, wherein the high vibration deficiency of air pump can be eliminated.
- A further object of the present invention is to provide an air pump having high efficiency anti-vibration bottom seat, where the rubber pad mounted to a bending plate assists reducing vibration in the course of operating the air pump.
- The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. - The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
- Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, and4, there is shown a
bottom seat 10 for an air pump or the like. Thebottom seat 10 comprises abending plate 1 and a plurality ofanti-vibration pegs 2. Thebending plate 1 is a H-shaped structure, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, or a single plate, as shown in FIG. 2. Thebending plate 1 under an appropriate thickness being at a constantly bend shape is with flexibility. This will enhance the up down vibration generated in the course of operation of theair pump 100. The surface of thebending plate 1 and the bottom surface of theair pump body 100 are provided withcorresponding pegging holes 11, 101. Theanti-vibration peg 2 is inserted or urged into the peggingholes 11, 101 so that thebending plate 1 and theair pump body 100 form into a unit. - Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the
anti-vibration peg 2 is made from rubber material and therefore thepeg 2 is provided with flexibility. The two ends of theanti-vibration peg 2 are provided with twopointed pegs 21 and the inner side of thepointed peg 21 are provided withcircular groove 22 so that thegroove 22 can be engaged with thepegging hole 11, 101 and positioned. In addition, the two ends of the twopointed pegs 21 are provided with a pullinghead 23 and the pullinghead 23 facilitates the mounting of thepeg 2 by direct pulling of the pullinghead 23 and theanti-vibration peg 2 is urged into the pegginghole 11, 101. The anti-vibration 2 is provided with one or more than onegroove 24 so as to enhance the gap needed for flexibility and softness of the bottom seat. Theanti-vibration peg 2 is effectively reduced the vibration due to the operation of theair pump 100. In other words, the bottom seat provides full anti-vibration effect, as shown in FIG. 8. - As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the H-
shaped bending plate 1 has four supportingplates 12 and eachplate 12 has the similar thickness and curvature and flexibility. The front end and the rear end of thebending plate 1 are provided withrubber pad 3 as the final contact point with the ground. As shown in FIG. 5, therubber pad 2 has aprotruded bottom section 31 and is provided with flexibility and softness. Thebottom section 31 is further provided with a plurality ofgaps 311, which enhance the ground gripping force of therubber pad 3, and thebottom seat 10 is therefore more flexibility and softness. - It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
- While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
