Abstract

A height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter in the invention includes a handle tube and a seat tube respectively extended from a front frame and a rear frame of an electric scooter and both having at least one projection and engagement holes; a handle stem and a seat post both having at least one groove respectively corresponding to the projections of the handle tube and the seat tube, and at least one resilient stopper respectively engaged in the engagement holes of the handle tube and the seat tube. Only to press the resilient stoppers to move the handle stem or the seat post to a required height, and make the resilient stoppers engaged in the engagement holes, thus easily and conveniently adjusting and fixing a handle or a seat at a required position for people of different height to ride the electric scooter comfortably.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • This invention relates to a height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter, particularly to one having a handle tube extended from a front frame of an electric scooter and provided with a plurality of engagement holes; a handle stem extended from a handle of the electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in the handle tube and provided with at least one resilient stopper for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes of the handle tube; a seat tube extended from a rear frame of the electric scooter and provided with a plurality of engagement holes; a seat post extended from a seat of the electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in the seat tube and provided with at least one resilient stopper for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes of the seat tube, thus providing the electric scooter with the height-adjusting device of the invention capable of easily and conveniently adjusting and fixing the handle and the seat to a required height for people of different height to ride the electric scooter comfortably.   • 2. Description of the Prior Art [0003]
  • For the present, electric scooters are very popular. In fact, the electric scooters have good sales in the market when they are firstly introduced to the customers not only because they do not produce exhaust to pollute the air, but also because the compact design of their structure is suitable for people of different ages to ride. Although the electric scooters can bear weight about 100 kegs, most conventional electric scooters are made integral with handles and seats mounted at a fixed position, which is very inconvenient and uncomfortably for high people to ride because their fixed handles and seats greatly limit the movements of high people's hands and legs.   • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The main purpose of the present invention is to offer a height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter so that a handle and a seat are capable of being easily and conveniently adjusted for people of different height to ride an electric scooter comfortably. [0005]
  • One primary feature of the present invention is to provide a height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter mainly including: [0006]
  • a handle tube extended upwards from a front frame of an electric scooter and provided with at least one projection disposed on an inner surface of a wall thereof as well as a plurality of engagement holes arranged in the wall thereof; and, [0007]
  • a handle stem extended downwards from a handle of the electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in the handle tube of the front frame, the handle stem provided with at least one groove disposed in an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to the at least one projection of the handle tube as well as at least one resilient stopper disposed in an appropriate place thereof for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes of the handle tube of the front frame.   • One another feature of the present invention is to provide a height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter mainly including: [0009]
  • a seat tube extended upwards from a front end of a rear frame of an electric scooter and provided with at least one projection disposed on an inner surface of a wall thereof as well as a plurality of engagement holes arranged in the wall thereof; and, [0010]
  • a seat post extended downwards from a seat of the electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in the seat tube of the rear frame, the seat post provided with at least one groove disposed in an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to the at least one projection of the seat tube as well as at least one resilient stopper disposed in an appropriate place thereof for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes of the seat tube of the rear frame.[0011]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • A preferred embodiment of a height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. [0018] 1 to 4, mainly includes a handle tube 22, a handle stem 30, a seat tube 51 and a seat post 60.
  • An [0019] electric scooter 1 is composed of a front frame 2, a handle 3, a footrest 4, a rear frame 5, a seat 6 and an electric motor 7. The front frame 2 disposed at a front of the electric scooter 1 has a front wheel 20 pivoted at a lower portion thereof and two front shock absorbers 21 respectively mounted at both sides thereof. The handle 3 is mounted on the front frame 2. The footrest 4 is disposed between the front frame 2 and a rear frame 5. The rear frame 5 disposed at a rear portion of the electric scooter 1 has a rear wheel 50 pivoted at a rear end thereof and two rear shock absorbers 53 respectively mounted at both sides thereof. The seat 6 is mounted on the rear frame 5. The electric motor 7 is mounted on a front portion of the rear frame 5 and connected with the rear wheel 50 by a belt for driving the rear wheel 50 to rotate.
  • The [0020] handle tube 22 extended upwards from the front frame 2 of the electric scooter 1 has two projections 220 respectively disposed at two opposite sides of a top end of an inner surface of a wall thereof, and a plurality of engagement holes 221 vertically arranged in the wall thereof. A clamp member 23 mounted to the top end of the handle tube 22 has a screw member 24 capable of extending through a front side of a wall of the clamp member 23 and a front side of the wall of the handle tube 22 so as to screw the clamp member 23 and the handle tube 22 tightly.
  • The [0021] handle stem 30 extended downwards from the handle 3 of the electric scooter 1 is capable of being inserted and engaged in the handle tube 22 of the front frame 2. The handle stem 30 has three grooves 300 respectively disposed at both sides and a front side of an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to the two projections 220 of the handle tube 22 and the screw member 24 of the clamp member 23. A resilient stopper 301 is accommodated in an interior of an appropriate place of the handle stem 30 and capable of transversely protruding out of the wall of the handle stem 30 for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes 221 of the handle tube 22.
  • The [0022] seat tube 51 extended upwards from a front end of the rear frame 5 of the electric scooter 1 has two projections 510 respectively disposed at two opposite sides of a top end of an inner surface of a wall thereof as well as a plurality of engagement holes 511 vertically arranged in the wall thereof. A clamp member 52 mounted to the top end of the seat tube 51.
  • The [0023] seat post 60 extended downwards from the seat 6 of the electric scooter 1 is capable of being inserted and engaged in the seat tube 51 of the rear frame 5 and has two grooves 600 respectively disposed at both sides of an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to the two projections 510 of the seat tube 51. A resilient stopper 601 is accommodated in an interior of an appropriate place of the seat post 60 and capable of transversely protruding out of the wall of the seat post 60 for being correspondingly engaged in the plurality of engagement holes 511 of the handle tube 51.
  • In using, referring to FIGS. 1, 3 and [0024] 5, when the handle 3 or the seat 6 are to be adjusted in height, only to press the resilient stopper 301 of the handle stem 30 or the resilient stopper 601 of the seat post 60 to move the handle 3 or the seat 6 to a required height, and then make the resilient stopper 301 engaged in one of the engagement holes 221 of the handle tube 22 or make the resilient stopper 601 engaged in one of the engagement holes 511 of the seat tube 51, thus easily and conveniently adjusting and fixing the handle 3 or the seat 6 at a required position for people of different height to ride the electric scooter 1 comfortably.
  • The invention has the following advantages, as can be understood from the aforesaid description. [0025]
  • 1. The height-adjusting device of the present invention enables people of different height to adjust the [0026] handle 3 and the seat 6 of the electric scooter 1 easily and conveniently.
  • 2. The engagement between the [0027] projections 220 of the handle tube 22 and the grooves 300 of the handle stem 30 makes the handle stem 30 quickly and vertically moved within the handle tube 22 in a fixed direction without swiveling. Similarly, the engagement between the projections 510 of the seat tube 51 and the grooves 600 of the seat post 60 makes the seat post 60 quickly and vertically moved within the seat tube 51 in a fixed direction without swiveling.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention. [0028]

Claims (4)

What is claimed is:
1. A height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter comprising:
a handle tube extended upwards from a front frame of an electric scooter and provided with at least one projection disposed on an inner surface of a wall thereof as well as a plurality of engagement holes arranged in said wall thereof;
a handle stem extended downwards from a handle of said electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in said handle tube of said front frame, said handle stem provided with at least one groove disposed in an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to said at least one projection of said handle tube of said front frame as well as at least one resilient stopper disposed in an appropriate place thereof for being correspondingly engaged in said plurality of engagement holes of said handle tube of said front frame; and,
whereby when said handle is to be adjusted in height, only to press said at least one resilient stopper of said handle stem to move said handle stem upwards or downwards to a required height, and then make said at least one resilient stopper engaged in said plurality of engagement holes of said handle tube, thus easily and conveniently adjusting and fixing said handle at a required position for people of different height to ride said electric scooter comfortably.
2. A height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter comprising:
a seat tube extended upwards from a front end of a rear frame of an electric scooter and provided with at least one projection disposed on an inner surface of a wall thereof as well as a plurality of engagement holes arranged in said wall thereof;
a seat post extended downwards from a seat of said electric scooter and capable of being inserted and engaged in said seat tube of said rear frame, said seat post provided with at least one groove disposed in an outer surface of a wall thereof for corresponding in position to said at least one projection of said seat tube of said rear frame as well as at least one resilient stopper disposed in an appropriate place thereof for being correspondingly engaged in said plurality of engagement holes of said seat tube of said rear frame; and,
whereby when said seat is to be adjusted in height, only to press said at least one resilient stopper of said seat post to move said seat post upwards or downwards to a required height, and then make said at least one resilient stopper engaged in said plurality of engagement holes of said seat tube, thus easily and conveniently adjusting and fixing said seat at a required position for people of different height to ride said electric scooter comfortably.
3. The height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter as claimed in claim 1, wherein a clamp member is mounted to a top end of said handle tube of said front frame for facilitating said handle tube to clamp said handle stem of said handle tightly.
4. The height-adjusting device for a handle and a seat of an electric scooter as claimed in claim 2, wherein a clamp member is mounted to a top end of said seat tube of said rear frame for facilitating said seat tube to clamp said seat post of said seat tightly.
