Abstract

A tint brush with diffuser consists of a container that screws onto the tinter body with a diffuser. The diffuser significantly improves continuous and even flow of the dye, eliminating unwanted side leakage at the bases of the bristles. This is done by covering or by introducing the dye to the bristles above the triangle like gaps at the base of the bristles. A tinter body with a diffuser can also be manufactured with different kinds of the flow regulators, a constant resistance flow regulator and the adjustable resistance flow regulator. Another feature that can be included on the tinter body is a needle point that can be inserted into the front side of the collector chamber of the tinter body, or designed as an extension member of the flow regulator. Bristle plate can also be attached with two teeth member onto the nozzle diffuser for a quick assembly or removal if desired.

Description

    BECKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention is directed to the art of tint brushes and more particularly, to a tint brush that is supplied with hair color dye through a specialized color distributor with diffuser. The tint brush of the invention could be used as an “all purpose” brush as well. [0002]
  • 2. Description of Prior Art [0003]
  • Presently there are several known hair color applicators and hair color dispensers. All of these devices have disadvantages, and are therefore commercially limited. The major problem with these prior dispensers and applicators include outside leakage between roots of bristles by using color mixture. This is primarily flaw of the assembling process which can not be changed. In the process of implantation of the bristles into the tinter body, a wedge like shape of bristles is formed, which in turn causes the creation of small triangular like gaps at the base of the bristles that in turn cause side leakage of the dye. The diffuser overcomes this problem of the dye leakage at the roots of bristles by introducing the dye in an evenly spaced bristle region (gapless region). [0004]
  • It is therefore desirable to have a tint brush with a diffuser that can distribute hair dye mixture evenly throughout all the bristles. [0005]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • A tint brush with diffuser is provided including hair color dye container adapted for threaded engagement with tinter body with diffuser. Preferably, the tint brush with diffuser screws onto the color distributor. [0006]
  • The bristles are positioned in the grooves of the tinter body, which can be designed with two different diffusers. One type of the diffuser (enclosing diffuser) engulfs/encloses the base of the bristles and another one (nozzle diffuser) that extends to the evenly spaced region of the bristles. Primary object of the invention is to provide a tint brush than enables even and controlled dye mixture diffusion. [0007]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • FIGS. [0039] 1A-1E illustrates the apparatus which includes reusable color mixture container 1 with anatomically shaped body 19 attached to a tinter body 2. The reusable containers is preferably made of a transparent or semitransparent plastic material such as, PVC or similar, so that the hair dye mixture contained therein can be easily observed and discharged. The container 1 of FIGS. 1A, 1B, and 1C is adapted to hold a creamer developer, which is combinable with permanent cream colorant. The container 1 is screwed onto the tinter body 2. The device shown in figures is ready for use in hair dying after preparation of mixture by shaking cream colorant and cream developer in the container 1. During use of the device, dye mixture flows from the container 1 outward through neck portion 12 and into a damper region 3 defined in the collector chamber 4 of the tinter body 2. The damper region 3 prevents hydraulic shock when the container 1 is squeezed forcing the dye to exist through radial exit bores 5. The radial bores 5 are provided with funnel-shaped recess 6 which tangent the set of bristles 9. The extension member 7 with inside surface 16 encloses the bristles 9 further, the enclosing diffuser prevents dye mixture leakage between triangle like gaps of the bristle roots 17, and helps deliver continuos and even flow of the dye to the top of the bristles 9. The extension member 7 is connected onto the tinter body 2 with two teeth 13, which enter the grooves 14. The extension member 7 sits on the edge 15 of the tinter body 2. The circular tooth 8 is formed on the tinter body 2 which seals neck member 12 formed on the container 1. Needlepoint member 11 is mounted on the front end of the collector chamber 4. The bristles 9 are stapled into grooves 18. The bristles 9 are used for application of the dye mixture. Speed of the exiting dye mixture is controlled by squeezing the container 1. The needlepoint member 11 is adapted to be screwed onto the tinter body 2 and is designed for dividing the hair tufts while dying the hair. The needlepoint 11 is sealed using an O-ring 10.
  • FIGS. [0040] 2A-2G illustrates the apparatus similar in function and form to that described above in connection with FIGS. 1A-1E with exception that it has a built in flow regulator 29 that includes adjustable head 29X. The purpose of the flow regulator 29 is to control the flow rate of the dye mixture by turning the adjustable head 29X. FIG. 2F shows adjustable head 29X from a position of minimum flow, (marked with a dot) 29B, to the maximum flow (marked with dot) 29C. The dot 29A marks the fixed starting point. The flow regulator 29 is sealed with two O-rings 28 and fixed with retaining ring 22. The needlepoint 11 has foot spur member 21, which is located in hole 21A. The needlepoint 11 has also foot member 26 with cylindrical hole 23A, which positioned onto spur member 23 with circular member 24 that prevents the needlepoint 11 from disassembly. FIG. 2G illustrates collector body 25A placed into the neck-connector member 25C that is secured with teeth 25 in grooves 25D and sealed with O-ring 28. Surrounding grooves 27 on the flow regulator 29 are used for the flow regulation. The grooves 27 can have triangle, parabolic or semi-rounded shape, and include a small surface area on one end and taper to a widened cross-sectional area to increase the flow rate to a maximum amount shown in FIGS. 2D-2F.
  • FIGS. [0041] 3A-3G are analogous in form and function to the apparatus described above in connection with FIGS. 2A-2G with exception that the flow regulator 29 is designed together with needle point extension member 21.
  • FIGS. [0042] 4A-4E shows a tinter apparatus similar to the device discussed above in connection with FIGS. 1A-1E with the exception that the tinter body 2 is made with nozzle diffuser 6X. The bristle plate 20 is attached onto the nozzle diffuser 6X, and is secured with two teeth 21Y. The diffuser's nozzle 6X is designed to extend over the triangle like gaps 17 that are formed at the base of the bristle roots 9. The bristles 9 are stapled into the grooves 18 on the bristle plate 20.
  • FIGS. [0043] 5A-5G are analogous in form and function to the apparatus described above in connection with FIGS. 2A-2G, with exception that the directed flow of dye mixture is provide with nozzle diffuser 6X located on the collector body 25A. Bristle plate 20 is attached onto the nozzle diffuser 6X with two teeth 21Y.
