Abstract
A footwear is constructed to include a sole provided with a breathable body at the top, and an upper fastened to the sole for securing a foot. The breathable body is made of a plurality of intertwined elastic filaments, having a compacted portion and an ornamental member of a predetermined design sealed to compacted elastic filaments of the compacted portion by a heat-sealing apparatus.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates general to a footwear and, more particularly, to a footwear, which has an ornamental member sealed to a compacted area in the breathable body at the upper surface of the sole thereof.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A footwear is known consisting of a sole, a strap fastened with an upper surface of the sole, and a breathable body which is made of a plurality of elastic filaments and is attached to the upper surface of the sole.
- There are footwears without breathable body. In order to attract people, recessed holes are made in the sole, and color patches are respectively adhered to the recessed holes. This color patch adhesion procedure consumes much time and labor.
- Further, the conventional footwear that have no such kind of the breathable body, the color patches is sealed but there is nothing to support a embossed pattern.
- The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view.
- It is one object of the present invention to provide a footwear, which enables ornamental means to be quickly sealed to the breathable body thereof.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a footwear, which has ornamental means sealed to the breathable body thereof to support a embossed pattern.
- To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, the footwear comprises a sole made subject to a predetermined shape; a breathable body provided in an upper surface of the sole, the breathable body being made of a plurality of elastic filaments, the elastic filaments being intertwined to form a network body having a thickness and a plurality of spaces; and an upper connected to the sole for securing a foot. The breathable body has a compacted portion, and an ornamental member of a predetermined design sealed to compacted elastic filaments of the compacted portion.
- FIG. 1 is a top view of a footwear according to the first embodiment of the present invention, showing an ornamental member of the design of a lower sealed to the breathable body.
- FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line2-2 of FIG. 1.
- FIG. 3 is a top view of the ornamental member for the footwear according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line4-4 of FIG. 3.
- FIG. 5 is a side view in section of the breathable body for the footwear according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 6 is a top view of a footwear according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 7 is a sectional view taken along line7-7 of FIG. 6.
- FIG. 8 is a sectional side view of a footwear according to the third embodiment of the present invention, showing an opening formed in the breathable body.
- FIG. 9 is a schematic drawing showing the installation of the ornamental member in the breathable body according to the third embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 10 is a schematic drawing showing the ornamental member sealed to the breathable body according to the third embodiment of the present invention.
- Referring to FIGS. from1 through 4, a footwear in accordance with the present invention is shown comprised of a sole 10, a
breathable body 20, an upper 30, and anornamental member 40. - The sole10 is made of a rubber, plastic, or leather material having an appropriate pliability and cut into shape fitting the sole of the foot.
- The
breathable body 20 is formed ofelastic filaments 22 of polyvinyl chloride and provided in the upper surface of the sole 10. Thefilaments 22 are intertwined to form an intricate network body of an appropriate thickness and having a number ofgaps 24. Thebreathable body 20 has a compactedsealing portion 25 formed in a particular area by means of high frequency heat sealing. - The upper30 can be of any of a variety of shapes fixedly fastened to the sole 10 for securing a foot. The upper 30 is disposed above the sole 10, defining with the sole 10 a space for receiving a foot.
- The
ornamental member 40 is a thermoplastic member made subject to a particular design, for example, the design of a flower, having an embossedbody 41, afirst sealing portion 43 formed around the border of the embossedbody 41, and asecond sealing portion 44 in the center area of the embossedbody 41. Thefirst sealing portion 43 and thesecond sealing portion 44 are adapted for fastening to theelastic filaments 22 of thebreathable body 20 by a sealing apparatus, for example, a high-frequency heat sealing apparatus. - The
breathable body 20 is sealed to the upper surface of the sole 10. Thegaps 24 serve as a ventilation system for driving out the foul air as well as the foot perspiration, providing a wearing comfort, a massaging effect of the foot sole, and a friction between the foot sole and the breathable body. - The formation of the footwear is outlined hereinafter.
- At first, the desired
breathable body 20 is prepared, and then theornamental member 40 is placed on thebreathable body 20 at the desired location, and then a heat sealing apparatus is operated to compress thesealing portions 43;44 of theornamental member 40 downwardly against theelastic filaments 22 of thebreathable body 20, causing the desired compactedsealing portion 25 to be formed in thebreathable body 20 and sealed to the sealingportions 43;44 of theornamental member 40. Because the embossedbody 41 of theornamental member 40 is supported on theelastic filaments 22 of thebreathable body 20, theornamental member 40 show a embossed pattern. - FIGS. 6 and 7 show a footwear constructed according to the second embodiment of the present invention. According to this embodiment, the
ornamental member 40A is an annular member having a sealingportion 43A directly compressed and heat-sealed to the breathable body by a heat-sealing apparatus. This embodiment eliminates the aforesaid embossed body. - Further, the ornamental member can be made having the design of a company's logo or the like.
- FIGS.8˜10 show the third embodiment of the present invention. According to this embodiment, the
breathable body 20B has an opening 27B through the top and bottom sides thereof (see FIG. 8); theornamental member 40B is a planar member (see FIG. 9) directly placed on theelastic filaments 22 of thebreathable body 20B over the opening 27B, and then compressed downwards with a part of theelastic filaments 22 of thebreathable body 20B around the opening 27B and then heat-sealed to the compacted elastic filaments 22 (see FIG. 10). - A protocol of footwear has been constructed with the features of FIGS.1˜10. The footwear functions smoothly to provide all of the features discussed earlier.
- Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
- As indicated above, the footwear of the present invention has the following advantages:
- 1. The footwear of the present invention, wherein the filaments of the breathable body providing the sealing of the ornamental member quickly, and the ornamental member can be any shape and put on anywhere, then providing variety of the footwear.
- 2. The footwear of the present invention, wherein after the ornamental member sealed on the breathable body, the filaments of the breathable body under the ornamental member can support the embossed body of the ornamental member, then forming a embossed portion.
