Abstract

Brushes specifically hair brushes have been around for several years. However, a brush with the flexibility of moving the bristles inward to help in cleaning is a new invention. Additionally a hair brush capable of delivering hair care products including styling gel into the bristle area so as to allow combing while applying hair care products is a new invention. The manufacture of hair brushes with recyclable and or disposable materials is also an added benefit of the current invention. The said invention describes the make up of such a brush that will be easy to clean, may be made out of recyclable and or disposable material and can be used to deliver hair care products to the scalp (hair) while combing. Such an invention will eliminate the mess encountered while applying hair care products and will also reduce the amount of time needed for the same. It will also improve the end result of the hair care product since the time interval between applying of the product and combing of the hair will be reduced thus minimizing a hair mess as seen with hair styling gels.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Brushes, specifically hair brushes do not have the flexibility of pushing the bristles inward to help in the cleaning of the brush. Also, hair brushes do not always have the capability to dispense hair products while combing. Hair brushes are not always made of recyclable materials. The prior art does not adequately address these issues/benefits.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A brush, specifically a hair brush made of recycle and or disposable material that may be cleaned by pushing the bristles inward. The said hair brush may be used to apply hair care products including styling gel to the scalp (hair) while combing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The brush described in FIG. 1 consists of a 3 sided base made in the shape of a pyramid with the front and back walls of the pyramid collapsible over each other. The pyramid is open on the sides. At the center of the base an opening is made to fit the squeeze bottle. The height of the pyramid and the width of the base are built so as to be able to accommodate hair care products. The base of the pyramid narrows and forms the handle of the brush. The handle is reinforced with stronger material as backing. Above this pyramid is placed a firm removable sheet of material on which the bristle casing rests. A hole is made in the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. The bristle casing is formed as follows: A semi cylindrical case is impregnated with 9 rows of holes. The center two rows have no more than 25 holes and the other rows have no more than 22 to 25 holes so as to form a smooth curve of bristles when completed. No more than 22 to 25 bristles are joined together with equal distance between the bristles. Each row of bristles is then inserted from below into this casing. A sheet of material is glued onto the bottom of all the bristles to form a single entity of bristles that may be moved up and down as needed. A hole is made at the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. This entity is called the bristle casing and it fits over the firm removable sheet of material and the pyramid. Open or closed bristles are used. A good mix of open bristles and closed bristles is chosen. No more than 22 to 25 bristles are joined together with equal distance between the bristles. All the bristles are inserted through a pouch so as to be part of the pouch. The pouch will contain the hair care product to be dispensed. Each row of bristles is then further inserted from below into the semi cylindrical casing. A hole is made at the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. This entity is called the bristle casing and it fits over the firm removable sheet of material and the pyramid. This bristle casing is further locked in place by taping it behind the pyramid base and thus completing the brush. [0015]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The said invention refers to a brush specifically a hair brush that may be easily cleaned by moving the bristles inward. The said brush may be made of available recyclable and or disposable materials such as model magic, plastic and rubber. The said brush may be used to apply hair care products including styling gel. The brush may be made in 5 different ways as listed below: [0016]

EXAMPLE 1

As described in FIG. 1 the brush consists of a 3 sided base made in the shape of a pyramid with the front and back walls of the pyramid collapsible over each other. The pyramid is open on the sides. At the center of the base an opening is made to fit the squeeze bottle. The height of the pyramid and the width of the base are built so as to be able to accommodate hair care products. The base of the pyramid narrows and forms the handle of the brush. The handle is reinforced with stronger material as backing. Above this pyramid is placed a firm removable sheet of material on which the bristle casing rests. A hole is made in the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. The bristle casing is formed as follows: A semi cylindrical case is impregnated with 9 rows of holes. The center two rows have no more than 25 holes and the other rows have no more than 22 to 25 holes so as to form a smooth curve of bristles when completed. No more than 22 to 25 bristles are joined together with equal distance between the bristles. Each row of bristles is then inserted from below into this casing. A sheet of material is glued onto the bottom of all the bristles to form a single entity of bristles that may be moved up and down as needed. Above this pyramid is placed a firm removable sheet of material on which the bristle casing rests. The hair care product squeeze bottle or tube is inserted into the base of the pyramid along the handle so that the tip of the squeeze bottle or tube is at the center of the case of the pyramid. The base of the pyramid narrows and forms the handle of the brush. The handle is reinforced with stronger material as backing. Above this pyramid is placed a firm removable sheet of material on which the bristle casing rests. A hole is made in the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle or tube. The bristle casing is formed as follows: A semi cylindrical case is impregnated with 9 rows of holes. The center two rows have no more than 25 holes and the other rows have no more than 22 to 25 holes so as to form a smooth curve of bristles when completed. The bristle casing is formed as follows: A semi cylindrical case is impregnated with 9 rows of holes. The center two rows have no more than 25 holes and the others have no more than 22 to 25 holes so as to form a smooth curve of bristles when completed. No more than 22 to 25 bristles are joined together with equal distance between the bristles. Each row of bristles is then inserted from below into this casing. A sheet of material is glued onto the bottom of all the bristles to form a single entity of bristles that may be moved up and down as needed. A set of screws are glued on to this single entity of bristles and the other ends of the screws are extended through the base of the pyramid to the back of the brush. A hole is made at the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. This entity is called the bristle casing and it fits over the pyramid. This bristle casing is further locked in place by taping it behind the pyramid base and thus completing the brush. [0020]

EXAMPLE 5

As described in FIG. 5 the brush consists of a 3 sided base made in the shape of a pyramid with the front and back walls of the pyramid non-collapsible over each other. The pyramid is open on the sides. At the center of the base an opening is made to fit the squeeze bottle. The base of the pyramid narrows and forms the handle of the brush. The handle is reinforced with stronger material as backing. Above this pyramid is placed a firm non-removable sheet of material on which the bristle casing rests. The bristle casing is formed as follows: A semi cylindrical case is impregnated with 9 rows of holes. Depending on the size of the brush, the center two rows have no more than 25 holes and the other rows have no more than 22 to 25 holes so as to form a smooth curve of bristles when completed. Open or closed bristles are used. A good mix of open bristles and closed bristles is chosen. No more than 22 to 25 bristles are joined together with equal distance between the bristles. All the bristles are inserted through a pouch so as to be part of the pouch. The pouch will contain the hair care product to be dispensed. Each row of bristles is then further inserted from below into the semi cylindrical casing. A hole is made at the center of this piece to accommodate the tip of the squeeze bottle. This entity is called the bristle casing and it fits over the firm removable sheet of material and the pyramid. This bristle casing is further locked in place by taping it behind the pyramid base and thus completing the brush. [0021]

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A brush and specifically a hair brush in which the bristles may be pushed inward to ease in cleaning.

2. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 1, wherein, hair care products, including hair styling gels may be applied to the scalp (hair) through a squeeze bottle appropriately placed in the brush. The hair care product bottle may be inserted through the back of the brush through a hole in the center back of the brush so that the tip of the squeeze bottle opens in the central area of the bristles.

3. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 2, wherein, hair care products, including hair styling gels may be applied to the scalp (hair) through a spray bottle appropriately placed in the brush. The hair care product spray bottle may be placed behind the bristles and behind the removable sheet of material, so that the tip opens above the top of the brush.

4. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 3, wherein, hair care products, including hair styling gels may be applied to the scalp (hair) through a squeeze bottle or tube appropriately placed in the brush. The hair care product squeeze bottle or tube may be placed in the space behind the bristles and behind the removable sheet of material, so that the tip of the squeeze bottle or tube opens in the central area of the bristles.

5. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 4, wherein, the bristles may be lowered through a set of screws on either side of a rigid backing holding the bristles.

6. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 4, wherein, hair care products, including hair styling gels may be applied to the scalp (hair) through a squeeze bottle appropriately placed in the brush. The hair care product bottle may be inserted through the back of the brush through a hole in the center back of the brush so that the tip of the squeeze bottle opens in the central area of the bristles.

7. A hair brush as shown in FIG. 5, wherein, the bristles may be made to have openings through which hair care products may be applied. A mix of bristles with openings and without openings may be arising from a pouch containing a hair care product, including a styling gel.

8. A hair brush made of recyclable and or disposable materials like model magic, plastic and rubber.

9. A brush in which a liquid detergent may be dispensed as outlined in claims 1-8.

10. A brush which may be used for animal care as outlined in claims 1-8.
