Abstract
A hook device has a main body having a generally C-shaped portion and a generally J-shaped portion, and a movable fastener having a winding portion enclosing the generally C-shaped portion, a hooking end extending from the winding portion to hook the generally C-shaped portion of the main body, and a generally ring-shaped elastic portion extending from the winding portion to block the generally J-shaped portion of the main body.
Description
- The present invention relates to a hook device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a hook device which can hook a heavy article safely.
- A first conventional safety hook is often soldered with a safety buckle. However, the conventional safety hook and the safety buckle are weakened by the heat treatment. Thus the conventional safety hook and the safety buckle will be broken while carrying a heavy article.
- Referring to FIGS. 1 and 1A, a second conventional safety hook has a
main body 10′ having a generally C-shaped portion 11′ and a generally J-shaped portion 12′, aspring 50′ surrounding themain body 10′, asafety fastener 20′, and arivet 40′ fastening thesafety fastener 20′ and themain body 10′ together. Thespring 50′ surrounds a portion of the safety fastener 20′. However, a through hole should be formed on themain body 10′ in order to receive therivet 40′. Then a structure of themain body 10′ will be weakened by the heat treatment while themain body 10′ is carbonized. Themain body 10′ is easily broken while receiving a heavy article. - Referring to FIG. 2, a third conventional safety hook has a
main body 10″ having a generally C-shaped portion 11″ and a generally J-shaped portion 12″, aspring 50″ surrounding themain body 10″, asafety fastener 20″, and arivet 40″ fastening thesafety fastener 20″ and themain body 10″ together. Since a diameter of thesafety fastener 20″ is the same as a diameter of the generally J-shaped portion 12″, a rope which is hooked by the generally C-shaped portion 11″ will slide to the generally J-shaped portion 12″ easily. - An object of the present invention is to provide a hook device which can hook a heavy article safely.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a hook device which has a movable fastener surrounding a main body without any rivet so that a structure of the main body will not be weakened.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a movable fastener which has a hooking end to engage with a generally C-shaped portion of a main body stably.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a movable fastener which has a generally ring-shaped elastic portion having an incurved end to engage with a generally J-shaped portion of a main body stably.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a movable fastener which is detachable to confine a rope to be hooked on a generally J-shaped portion of a hook device.
- Accordingly, a hook device comprises a main body having a generally C-shaped portion and a generally J-shaped portion, and a movable fastener having a winding portion enclosing the generally C-shaped portion, a hooking end extending from the winding portion to hook the generally C-shaped portion of the main body, and a generally ring-shaped elastic portion extending from the winding portion to block the generally J-shaped portion of the main body. The hooking end of the movable fastener engages with the generally C-shaped portion of the main body stably. The generally ring-shaped elastic portion of the movable fastener has an incurved end to engage with the generally J-shaped portion of the main body stably.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective assembly view of a hook device of the prior art;
- FIG. 1A is a sectional view of a hook device of the prior art;
- FIG. 2 is a perspective assembly view of another hook device of the prior art;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a hook device of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention;
- FIG. 4 is a schematic view illustrating a first assembly status of a movable fastener of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention;
- FIG. 5 is a schematic view illustrating a second assembly status of a movable fastener of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention;
- FIG. 6 is a schematic view illustrating a third assembly status of a movable fastener of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention;
- FIG. 7 is a schematic view illustrating an operation of a movable fastener of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention; and
- FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a hook device of another preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
- Referring to FIGS.2 to 7, a hook device comprises a generally S-shaped
main body 10 having a generally C-shaped-portion 11 and a generally J-shaped portion 12, and amovable fastener 30 having awinding portion 31 enclosing the generally C-shaped portion 11, ahooking end 32 extending from thewinding portion 34 to hook the generally C-shaped portion 11 of themain body 10, and a generally ring-shapedelastic portion 33 extending from thewinding portion 34 to block the generally J-shaped portion 12 of themain body 10. - The hooking
end 32 of themovable fastener 30 engages with the generally C-shaped portion 11 of themain body 10 stably. - The generally ring-shaped
elastic portion 33 of themovable fastener 30 has an incurvedend 34 to engage with the generally J-shaped portion 12 of themain body 10 stably. - The present invention has the following advantages. The hook device hooks a heavy article safely. The movable fastener surrounds the main body without any rivet, so a structure of the main body will not be weakened. The movable fastener has the hooking end to engage with the generally C-shaped portion of the main body stably. The generally ring-shaped elastic portion has the incurved end to engage with the generally J-shaped portion of the main body stably.
- Referring to FIGS.4 to 7, the
winding portion 31 of themovable fastener 30 passes through an end of the second generally C-shaped portion 12 of themain body 10 to a middle portion of themain body 10. When the generally ring-shapedelastic portion 33 of themovable fastener 30 blocks the generally J-shaped portion 12 of themain body 10, a rope (not shown in the figures) which is hooked on the second generally C-shaped portion 12 will not be released from the second generally C-shaped portion 12. - Referring to FIG. 8, another hook device comprises a generally J-shaped
main body 10 a having a first generally C-shaped portion 11 a and a second generally C-shaped portion 12 a, and amovable fastener 30 a having awinding portion 31 a enclosing an end of the first generally C-shaped portion 11 a, ahooking end 32 a extending from the winding portion 34 a to hook the first generally C-shaped portion 11 of themain body 10, and a generally ring-shapedelastic portion 33 a extending from the winding portion 34 a to block an end of the second generally C-shaped portion 12 a of themain body 10 a. - The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments but various modification thereof may be made. Furthermore, various changes in form and detail may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
