Abstract

My idea of applying the Ceiling Boarder Paper to the ceiling, is by an equipment “Ceilbord Installer”.
The Paper roll which is to be installed at the ceiling has two surfaces, one which has a pattern on it and the other which has a wet glue surface that is ready to be applied. The pattern surface needs to be protected when applying paint to the ceiling surface. This protection is provided a wax paper, which is the same width as the patterned paper roll. But the wax is attached to patterned paper roll only at the edges by glue, which can be detached by just pulling the wax paper from one end.
When the wax paper is rolled along with the pattern paper, it also protects the wet glue side of the paper roll.

Description

  • The construction of the ceiling paper is a combination of two different layers of paper, Paper ‘A’ and Paper ‘B’. Paper ‘A’ is the bottom layer and Paper ‘B’ is the top layer, and together they form different functions and uses. [0001]
  • Paper ‘A’: This is the main sheet which will have a stick bottom and will stick to the ceiling. Paper ‘A’ can be manufactured to the thickness of wallpaper with different types of finishes. The can be manufactured in different widths such as 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″ and 12″ inches, as well as in different colors and shades. But this paper will have a very sticky surface on one side and pattern of colors on the other. It is critical for this paper roll to have ⅛ of an inch of a flat surface with no pattern on both sides. At these flat sides, Paper ‘B’ is attached to Paper ‘A’ with a light glue, which covers and protects the pattern side of Paper ‘A’. [0002]
  • Paper ‘B’: This is the second sheet with a wax finish non-sticky surface, which will cover and protect paper ‘A’. Paper ‘B’ will have ⅛ of an inch adhesive strip at both sides, which attaches Paper ‘B’ to Paper ‘A’. This adhesive to Paper ‘B’ has to be strong enough to be held in place when the ceiling is painted or sprayed with textured plaster. The cover (Paper ‘B’) will be removed by peeling it from one end, leaving Paper ‘A’ intact on the ceiling as final finish product.[0003]
  • Corner Piece (Paper) [0004]
  • When the ceiling border paper is installed, the ends of the ceiling border paper could be finished with an elaborate design piece. This end piece could be of different shapes and sizes, but the principal of attachment will be the same. The only difference will be that this decorative corner piece will have one more non-sticky sheet to the bottom of Paper ‘A’, and that is Paper ‘C’. As the corner piece is installed in place, this non-sticky sheet ‘C’ will be pulled off, and now Paper ‘A’ and it's protective cover Paper ‘B’ is attached to the ceiling and ready to be painted. [0005]
  • Method of Installing Ceiling Border (Paper) [0006]
  • The installation of Ceiling Border paper needs a special equipment called ‘Ceilbord’. This ‘Ceilbord’ is an invention of mine, i.e. Atta Hai. The ‘Ceilbord’ consists of a paper roll holder in front and two press rollers on the top, which press the ceiling paper against the ceiling gypsum board, which is prepared to receive the ceiling paper. [0007]

Claims (1)

1. Decorating the ceiling with different kinds of materials such as paint or paintings, wood paneling, and also with carved wood and molded strips is common, but expensive and only used at large villas and banquet halls.
But my invention of applying paper roll to the ceiling as a border itself and the method of Installation is unique and also can be used at every household as it is affordable.
