Abstract

An exercise bike includes a support frame and a first post extends from the support frame. An elongated member is connected to the first post and has a first hole and a second hole. A second post with a seat extend from the elongated member. A bottom bracket is received in the first hole and a crank rotatably extends through the bottom bracket. A first pulley is mounted to the crank. A rear wheel is connected to the elongated member and a rear wheel axle extends through the second hole. A second pulley is mounted to the rear wheel axle. A belt reeves between the first pullet and the second pulley.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a chain stay for an exerciser bike and the chain stay has two holes for respectively receiving a bottom bracket and a rear wheel axle. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • A conventional exerciser bike is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and generally includes an I-shaped frame and a [0002] first post 11 extending from the frame. A handle 111 is connected on a top of the first post 11 and an extension bar extends from the post 11. A second post 12 extends from the extension bar so as to be connected to a seat 121. A bottom bracket 13 is connected to the first post 11 and a crank 14 rotatably extends through the bottom bracket 13. Two pedals 141 are connected to two ends of the crank 14 and a first pulley 142 is mounted to the crank 14. A rear wheel 16 is connected below the second post 12 and a second pulley 15 is mounted to an axle of the rear wheel 16. A belt 17 reeves the two pulleys 142, 15 so that when rotating the crank 14, the rear wheel 16 is rotated. However, because the bottom bracket 13 and the rear wheel 16 are connected to different parts of the exercise bike so that the two pulleys 142, 15 could not be located in a straight line. If the two pulleys 142, 15 are not located on the same line, the belt 17 tends to be worn out or even broken because of abnormal friction.
  • The present invention intends to provide an exercise bike that has an elongated member having two holes for respectively receiving the bottom bracket and the rear wheel axle so that the relative position of the bottom bracket and the rear wheel axle is ensured to be correct. [0003]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an exercise bike which comprises a support frame and a first post extends from the support frame and a handle is connected to a top of the first post. An elongated member is connected to the first post and has a first hole and a second hole. A second post extends from the elongated member and a seat is connected to the second post. [0004]
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.[0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show a conventional exercise bike; [0006]
  • FIG. 2 is a top view to show the conventional exercise bike; [0007]
  • FIG. 3 is a side view to show the exercise bike of the present invention; [0008]
  • FIG. 4 is a top view to show the exercise bike of the present invention, and [0009]
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view to show the exercise bike of the present invention.[0010]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. [0011] 3 to 5, the exercise bike of the present invention comprises a support frame 22 and a first post 21 extends from the support frame 22, and a handle 23 is connected to a top of the first post 21. An elongated member 30 connected to the first post 21 and has a first hole 31 and a second hole 35. A second post 24 extends from the elongated member 30 and a seat 240 is connected to the second post 24. A bottom bracket 33 is received in the first hole 31 and a crank 34 rotatably extends through the bottom bracket 33. A first pulley 342 is mounted to the crank 34 and two pedals 341 are connected to two ends of the crank 34.
  • A [0012] rear wheel 36 is connected to the elongated member 30 and a rear wheel axle 32 extends through the second hole 35. A second pulley 320 is mounted to the rear wheel axle 32. A belt 37 reeves between the first pullet 342 and the second pulley 320.
  • It is to be noted that the [0013] elongated member 30 is a one-piece member so that the two holes 31, 35 are located in the same line as shown in FIG. 4. Therefore, the belt 37 can be connected to the two pulleys 342, 320 properly and is operated in the straight line without distortion.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. [0014]
