Abstract
A pivot axis structure of an industrial computer door guard comprises a big-head screw, two side shells and two washers; wherein a root portion of a screw post of the big-head screw is disposed circularly with a basin-shaped side shell and a washer is disposed therein; another basin-shaped side shell is also disposed with a washer therein; two end portions of the computer door guard protrude outside two sides of a machine face plate; the screw posts of the big-head screws go outwardly through the respective side plates of the door guard and the mentioned side shells from inside; the distal ends thereof are screwed to the machine body to make the two washers attach relatively to the two sides of the side plates of the door guard in a certain tightness to produce a proper resistance so as to enable the door guard to be positioned at any angle.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention provides a pivot axis structure of an industrial computer door guard, more specifically, a pivot axis disposed with a certain resistance for a door guard of an electronic equipment so as to enable the said door guard to be positioned at any angle as the feature of the present invention.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Accordingly, in order to facilitate the operation and easier maintenance, most of the general industrial computers or communication electronic equipments are congregated on the machine racks while all of the machine bodies of the electronic equipment are separately placed on individually parted layers of the said machine rack; referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, many adjusting switches are disposed on the face plate of the machine body (50) of the said computer or the electronic equipment, a door guard (51) is especially and pivotally disposed in the front aspect to prevent the deviation or crash caused by the improper contact; mainly, two long screws (60) respectively go left and right through two ends of the door guard (51) from the inside and are screwed to two side walls of the door plate frame; the said screws (60) themselves are used as pivot axes to enable the door guard (51) to be opened from the upper aspect by using them as supporting points so as to facilitate the maintenance and adjustment of the machine body (50).
- However, the said conventional design is not very good and has the following shortcomings in embodiment:
- 1. Since the door guard has a certain weight, after being unlocked, the door guard hangs downward by the force of gravity; two end portions thereof move across the air and the sharp points of the outer ends may either easily cut the human body to cause injury or bump against the components in the lower aspect to damage the plate body. That is the major shortcoming of the conventional structure.
- 2. When the door guard of the electronic equipment is opened, the door guard in the upper aspect blocks the front of the face plate of the equipment in the lower aspect and that disables the simultaneous operation; therefore the conventional structure only allows one equipment to be maintained at one time. That is the other shortcoming of the conventional structure.
- The inventor of the present invention has engaged in the related field for a long time and truly understands the difficult situation thereof. However, based on the cumulated experience, after many developments and experiments, through deliberate researches and designs, finally culminated in the development of a better pivot axis structure for a computer door guard capable of improving the shortcomings of the conventional structure.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to use a big-head screw with a basin-shaped side shell circularly disposed at the root portion of the screw post and a washer disposed therein; another basin-shaped side shell is also disposed with a washer therein; two end portions of the computer door guard protrude outside two sides of a machine face plate; the screw posts of the big-head screws go outwardly through the respective side plates of the door guard and the mentioned side shells from inside; the distal ends thereof are screwed to the machine body to make the two washers attach relatively to the two sides of the side plates of the door guard in a certain tightness to produce a proper resistance so as to enable the door guard to be positioned at any angle.
- To enable a further understanding of the contents of the present invention, the brief description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed description of the preferred embodiment.
- FIG. 1 is an external view drawing of the embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is an exploded drawing of the structure of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view drawing of the lateral plane of the present invention.
- FIG. 4 is a drawing of the exemplary embodiment of the lateral plane of the present invention.
- FIG. 5 is a drawing of the first exemplary embodiment of another kind of washer of the present invention.
- FIG. 6 is a drawing of the second exemplary embodiment of another kind of washer of the present invention.
- FIG. 7 is a schematic drawing of the conventional structure.
- FIG. 8 is an exploded drawing of the conventional structure.
- Referring to FIGS. 1, 2 and3, the pivot axis disposed in the present invention comprises a big-head screw (10), two side shells (30, 300) and two washers (20, 21); wherein, the root portion of a screw post (11) of the big-head screw (10) is housed with a basin-shaped metal side shell (30) with a center hole (32) disposed at the center; the said side shell (30) has a receiving slot (31) the said receiving slot (31) is disposed with a washer (20) inside; the said washer (20) placed in can just fill in the receiving slot (31).
- Another basin-shaped side shell (300) has also a receiving slot (310) and a center hole (320) disposed at the center; a washer (21) is also disposed inside the said receiving slot (310).
- Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, two end portions of the door guard (41) protrude outside the two sides of the face plate of the machine body (40); the screw posts (11) of the big-head screws (10) go outwardly and respectively through the side shells (30, 300) of the accommodated washers (20, 21) as well as the door guard (41) disposed in between and screw onto the machine body (40) by means of the said screw posts (11); wherein, the two basin-shaped side shells (30, 300) are parted by the door guard (41) with the slot openings disposed oppositely to each other; the two washers (20, 21) relatively attach to the two sides of the side plates of the door guard (41) in a certain tightness; since the said two washers (20, 21) are made of rubber with a certain resilience, they press against the two sides of the door guard (41) with a proper resistance so as to enable the door guard (41) to be positioned at any angle without hanging downward, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4.
- Referring to FIG. 5 which shows an exemplary embodiment drawing of a spring (22) replacing the original rubber component still with an extremely good resilient effect; referring to FIG. 6, as indicated, two reversely jointed, ring-shaped plate washers (23), bent or in trumpet shapes, replace a conventional rubber component; they all have a certain resilience and are placed into the said two side shells (30, 300) to achieve the object of resisting the door guard to automatically hang downward.
- Since the present invention has special ideas and in application, it is capable of positioning the door guard at any proper angle without dropping it directly by the force of gravity; therefore, the feature of the present invention is to more conveniently and smoothly maintain or assemble the industrial computer and all of the related electronic equipment.
- It is of course to be understood that the embodiment described herein is merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.
