Abstract

A bath brush has a handle of an appropriate length. The handle is provided at one end with a grip portion, and at other end with a fastening portion which has a predetermined shape and an area greater than the area of the grip portion. The fastening portion provides a full support to a bath ball which is fastened to the fastening portion. The bath ball is thus capable of a firm contact with the body skin to result in an enhancement of the cleaning effect of the bath ball.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to a bath brush, and more particularly to a bath brush having an improvement handle with a bath ball thereon.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A handle is provided at the front end with a brush body for reaching a hard-to-reach portion of the body. The brush body may be a water-absorbing cotton, a bristle body, or a bath ball. The water-absorbing cotton is relatively small in area and coarse in quality. Upon having absorbed water, the water-absorbing cotton becomes too heavy to be helpful in cleaning the body skin. The bristle body is not suitable for use in cleaning the body skin. The present invention is intended to provide an improvement on the bath ball serving as the brush body.

As shown in FIG. 1, a prior art bath brush comprises a

handle

1 which is provided at one end with a bath ball 2 which is formed of an elastic net body. The handle 1 is uniform in diameter from one end to another. The handle is provided with a plurality of holes 3 for fastening the bath ball 2 by a lashing cord 4 which is located in the holes 3. In light of the bath ball 2 being spherical in shape, only a small portion of the bath ball 2 is in contact with the handle 1. As shown in FIG. 2, the bath ball 2 is a loose soft body, which is susceptible to swinging or deforming by an external force. When in use to clean the body skin, the bath ball 2 is rested against the handle 1 if the bath ball 2 is moved up and down. However, if the bath ball 2 is moved to clean the body skin in a left-to-right or right-to-left direction, the bath ball 2 is often suspended, without being supported by the handle 1. As a result, the body-cleaning effect of the bath brush is adversely affected.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a bath brush which comprises a handle with a large support area for supporting a bath ball fastened therewith.

The present invention comprises a brush handle of an appropriate length. The brush handle is provided at one end with a grip portion, and at other end with a fastening portion for fastening a bath ball for cleaning the body skin. The present invention is characterized in that the fastening portion which has a predetermined shape and is greater in area than the grip portion. The bath ball is fastened to the fastening portion such that the body skin cleaning effect of the bath ball is fully realized.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

As shown in FIG. 3, a [0012] bath brush handle 20 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention has an appropriate length and is provided at one end with a grip portion 23, and at other end with a fastening portion 25.
The [0013] grip portion 23 is provided with a plurality of ribs 231 which are disposed horizontally to provide a skidproof effect.
The [0014] fastening portion 25 has an oval shape and an area which is greater than that of the grip portion 23. The fastening portion 25 is provided with two holes 26 to facilitate the fastening of a bath ball 30 which is formed of an elastic net body. The holes 26 are not restrictive in number. The two holes 26 a and 26 b of the preferred embodiment of the present invention are arranged longitudinally and linearly for receiving a lashing member 40, which is first inserted into the hole 26 a and is then existed via the hole 26 b such that the lashing member 40 fastens the bath ball 30.
The [0015] fastening portion 25 is provided in the fringe with a stop edge 27 of a predetermined height for confining the bath ball 30 in the fastening portion 25, thereby enabling the bath ball 30 to expand on the brush handle 20.
The [0016] brush handle 20 is curved appropriately such that the brush handle 20 has an appropriate radian. As a user holds the grip portion 23, the fastening portion 25 can curve naturally to remain close to the user's body, thereby conforming to the principle of the human body mechanics. The brush handle 20 is provided with a protruded edge 28 extending along the outer surface of the grip portion 23 through the fastening portion 23 for reinforcing the strength of the brush handle 20.
The [0017] bath ball 30 is fastened to the fastening portion 25 which has a greater area capable of supporting fully the bath ball 30, as illustrated in FIG. 4, such that the bath ball 30 is completely confined by the fastening portion 25, and that the bath ball 30 is remained within the fastening portion 25 by the stop edge 27. As a result, the bath ball 30 is not apt Lo cause by the external force to) swivel or deform freely. The bath ball 30 is well confined and supported by the fastening portion 25. As a result, the bath ball 30 is not apt to sway at the time when the bath ball 30 is in use. In addition, the bath ball 30 in use is intimately in contact with the body skin to enhance the cleaning effect of the bath ball 30.
As shown in FIG. 5, the [0018] fastening portion 25 of the present invention is provided with two bath balls 30 a and 30 b fastened therewith. The brush handle is provided along the longitudinal direction with two sets of holes 26 b, 26 c, and 26 d, 26 e, which are linearly arranged to facilitate the fastening of the two bath balls 30 a and 30 b by two lashing members 40 a and 40 b. The two sets of holes 26 b, 26 c, and 26 d, 26 e may be arranged along two parallel horizontal lines perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the brush handle, as shown in FIG. 6.
The [0019] bath ball 30 is a prior art structure and is formed of a tightened tubular net main body, which is released to expand to form a spherical object.
The embodiments of the present invention described above are to be regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof. The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scopes of the following claims. [0020]

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. a bath brush comprising:

a brush handle providing at one end with a grip portion, and at other end with a fastening portion;

a bath ball is formed of a net body, said bath ball is fastened on said fastening portion of the brush handle; and

wherein said fastening portion has an area greater than the area of said grip portion for supporting fully said bath ball.

2. The bath brush as defined in claim 1, wherein said fastening portion is provided in the outer side with a stop edge for confining said bath ball within said fastening portion.

3. The bath brush as defined in claim 1, wherein said fastening portion is provided with at least one hole for locating a lashing member to fasten said bath ball.

4. The bath brush as defined in claim 1 , wherein said brush handle is provided with a protruded edge extending along the outer surface of said grip portion through said fastening portion for reinforcing the strength of said brush handle.

5. The bath brush as defined in claim 1, wherein said grip portion is provided with a plurality of ribs which are arranged horizontally to provide said grip portion with a skidproof effect.
