Abstract

A structure of hook for a truck includes a plurality of hooks spacedly secured on the top of two side walls of the cargo body of the truck for binding the ropes each having a hollow post embedded into the wall, a hook member engageable into the hollow post, a positioning plate, a cushion and a top plate each having an central opening for permitting the hook member passing through and superimposed with each other for securing to the top of the lateral walls of the cargo body of the truck. The present invention is characterized in that a partition formed between a pair of extensions of the hook member to define a spring compartment and a sliding compartment in which is a V-shaped groove communicating to a Y-shaped groove to allow a U-shaped bar sliding about. So that the hook member may be hid in or jumped out of the hollow post.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to truck and more particularly to structure of hook for a truck for binding the ropes. [0001]
  • A truck loading cargoes running on a road especially on a freeway needs ropes to bind the cargoes in the body in order that the cargoes will not fall down. To bind the ropes, some of the trucks has hooks on the top of the side wall of the body. However, these hooks severely hinder the loading or unloading to the cargoes. Some of the producers changes the hooks into a hidden type or an up and down type which is more convenient. But both of these types require a press button or a sliding switch to operate it. For an operator, either the press button or the sliding switch is not so convenient. [0002]
  • SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • The present invention has a main object to provide a structure of hooks for a truck which hook is directly pressed downward to hide in or jumped up to bind the ropes without requiring a press button or a sliding switch. [0003]
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a structure of hooks for a truck which is convenient and without hindering the loading or unloading the cargoes into the body of the truck. [0004]
  • The present invention will become more fully understood by reference to the following detailed description thereof when read in conjunction with the attached drawings.[0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference to FIGS. [0015] 1 to 5 of the drawings, the structure of hooks for a truck of the present invention comprises generally a hollow post 10, a hook member 20, a top plate 30, a cushion 40 and a positioning plate 50.
  • The [0016] hollow post 10 has a rectangular plate 11 perpendicular to the top having a portion extending to outside of the post 10, a rectangular opening 12 in the center of the plate 11 communicating to the post 10, a pair of circular thru hole 13 respectively formed at two lateral sides of the opening 12, a reduced bottom 102, a projection 14 projected upward from one side of the bottom 102 for engaging with the lower end of a spring 17, an indentation 15 in the other side of the bottom 102 and a recess 101 for engaging with a lower transverse portion 161 of a U-shaped bar 16 which is movably secured by a band 163.
  • The [0017] hook member 20 has a pair of rectangular extensions 21 spacedly extending downward and engageable into the hollow post 10, a partition 22 at the center of the extensions 21 to define the extensions 21 into a spring compartment 23 and a sliding compartment 24. The spring compartment 23 receives the top of the spring 17 and the sliding compartment 24 has a V-shaped groove 25 communicating to a Y-shaped groove 26 in the surface of the partition 22 (as shown in FIGS. 4, 5, 7 and 8). The right portion 251 of the V-shaped groove 25 is deeper than the right portion 261 of the Y-shaped groove 26 so as to form a drop in elevation 2511 (as shown in FIG. 6). The left portion 252 of the V-shaped groove 25 is a slope and has the depth from similar to the left portion 262 of the Y-shaped groove 26 then deeper and deeper until that the depth similar to the right portion 251 of the V-shaped groove 25. The upper transverse portion 162 of the U-shaped bar 16 enables to slide in the V and Y- shaped grooves 25 and 26.
  • The [0018] cushion 40 deposes on the top of the hollow post 10 and has a large rectangular opening 41 engaged with the rectangular plate 11.
  • The [0019] top plate 30 deposes on the top of the cushion 40 and has a size equal to the cushion 40, a narrow rectangular thru hole 31 engageable with the hook member 20 and a pair of screw holes 32 respectively formed on two lateral sides of the narrow rectangular thru hole 31 engageable with the circular thru holes 13 of the rectangular plate 11 of the hollow post 10 which is embedded into the top of the side walls 61 of the body of the truck 60 after that the positioning plate is wrapped on (as shown in FIG. 9). The positioning plate 50 has a pair of side walls 51 engaged with the lateral edges of the rectangular plate 11, a narrow rectangular thru hole 52 engaged with the hollow post 10 and a pair of screw holes 53 respectively formed on two lateral side of the thru hole 52 and engageable with the circular thru holes 13 of the hollow post 10. Finally, a pair of bolts 33 secure the top plate 30, the cushion 40, the hollow post 10 and the positioning plate to the top of the side walls 61 of the body of the truck 60 through the screw holes 32, the circular thru holes 13 and the screw holes 53.
  • Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, [0020] 4 and 5, the hook member 20 is on the top of the top plate 30 for the resilience of the spring 17, the upper transverse portion 162 of the U-shaped bar 16 is positioned at the bottom of the Y-shaped groove 26. When presses the hook member 20 downward (as shown in FIG. 6), the rectangular extensions including the Y-shaped groove 26 and the V-shaped groove 25 are moving downward, too. So that the spring 17 is tensed and the upper transverse portion 162 of the U-shaped bar 16 is sliding upward through the left portion 262 of the Y-shaped groove 26 into the left portion 252 of the V-shaped groove 25, then slides to the peak of the V-shaped groove 25 and stops there because of the drop in elevation. Therefore, the hook member is inside the hollow post 10. When presses the hook member 20 again after the loading of the cargoes and releases the finger immediately, the upper transverse portion 162 of the U-shaped bar 16 will slide back to the bottom of the Y-shaped groove 26 through the sloped left portion 252 of the V-shaped groove 25 and the left portion 262 of the Y-shaped groove 26 because of the resilience of the spring 17 (as shown in FIG. 8). Since the hook member 20 is jumped up, the ropes can be able to bind on it.
  • Accordingly, the structure of hooks for a truck of the present can be easily up and down without requiring a press button or a sliding switch that is more convenient than the conventional hooks for a truck. [0021]
  • The specification relating to the above embodiment should be construed as exemplary rather than as limitative of the present invention, with many variations and modifications being readily attainable by a person of average skill in the art without departing from the spirit or scope thereof as defined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents. Claims (2)

I claim:
1. A structure of hook for a truck comprising:
a hollow post embedded into a top of lateral walls of a cargo body of the truck and having rectangular plate perpendicularly and partially integrated with top of the hollow post, a rectangular opening in center of the plate, a pair of circular thru holes respectively formed on lateral sides of the opening, a reduced bottom including a projection projected upward from a top abutting a first side an indentation in a second side thereof and a recess in an upper wall of the indentation;
a hook member engageable into the hollow post having a hook, a pair of rectangular extension extended downward from the hook, a partition positioned at a center of the extensions therebetween to define a spring compartment and a sliding compartment in two side and a V-shaped groove communicating to a Y-shaped groove inside the sliding compartment and in a surface of the portion;
a spring mean having an upper portion received in the spring compartment of the hook member and a lower end engaged with the projection of the reduced bottom of the hollow post;
a U-shaped bar having a lower transverse portion movably inserted into the recess of the reduced bottom of the hollow post and secured by a band and an upper transverse portion slidably engaged in the Y-shaped groove and the V-shaped groove;
a positioning plate wrapped on the hollow post having a pair of side walls engaged with an underside of the rectangular plate of the hollow post abutting two lateral sides thereof a first narrow rectangular opening in a center engaged with the hollow post and a pair of first screw holes respectively formed on lateral side of the opening engageable with the circular thru holes of the rectangular plate of the hollow post;
a cushion deposed on top of the hollow post having a large rectangular opening in a center engaged with rectangular plat of the hollow post;
a top plate deposed on top of the cushion having a size equal to the cushion, a second narrow opening in a center engageable with the hook member and a pair of second screw holes respectively formed on lateral sides of the opening;
a pair of bolts secured the top plate, the cushion, the hollow post and the positioning plate to a top of cargo body of the truck through the second screw holes, the circular thru holes and the first screw holes;
whereby, a first press makes the hook member hid in the hollow post and a second press make the hook member jumped up to outside of the top plate.
2. The structure as recited in claim 1 wherein said V-shaped groove has a right portion having the depth deeper than the Y-shaped groove and a left portion having a sloped connected to the left portion of the Y-shaped groove and the deeper right portion thereof.
