On the upper face of the sheets'and between these interlocking elements of the joints I secure two or more rope-like wicks C to each section of flashing A-B so as to extend transversely of the sheets from edge to edge thereof as is clearly shown and described in the patent and application above referred to. In the'present invention however, I so construct the clips 9 which secure the wicks to the sheets as to provide means for anchoring the inte mediate portions of the sheets in the bonding mortar. V 7
As shown in Figs; 1, 2 and 3 these anchor clips 9 comprise relatively short sections of sheet metal, each of whichis bent into theform of oppositely and outwardly facing troughs iii, the vertical webs of which arespaced substantially the width of a wick C by the reversely bent integral portion I l of the upper, oppositely extending, flanges of the troughs. By this arrangement the bonding mortar enters the channeled sides of the clips 9 and 9, when embedded therein, to interlock and key the mortar above the flashing sheet with the mortar below the sheet. In this waythe bond between the masonry above and below the flashing is maintained unbroken irrespective of stresses and strains set up in the sheets or masonry in use.

These clips comprise relatively short sections of upwardly facing channeled sheet metal, the side flanges i3 and E3 of which are outwardly flared so as to extend at approximately 45 to the face of the sheet to which they are secured, as by soldering. As in the case of the anchor clips shown in Figs. 1, 2
and 3 these clips l2 and I2 may be used solely for keying the flashing to the mortar above and below the sheet or as a combined key or anchor this form, as in the preferred form shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3, a metal strip I5 is soldered or otherwise secured to the upper face of a flashing section inwardly of-one transverse edge so as to extend at right angles to the sheet. The upper end portion E6 of the strip is preferably corrugated in a direction transversely of the sheet and bent over so as to extend slightly downwardly over the outer portion of the sheet to which it is attached and towards the transverse edge thereof. The adjacent transverse edge of a section of flashing to be secured in overlapping relation with the section so equipped, is preferably turned upwardly to provide a vertical flange H which is adapted to be looked under the substantially horizontal flange E6 of the vertical strip thereby firmly holding the adjacent edge portions of the two flashing sheets in interlocked, overlapping relationship.

7 What I claim is:
1. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections, and an expansion joint connecting said sections with substantial side portions thereof in face to face overlapping relationship, said joint comprising a transverse strip upstanding from each of said flashing sections, and flange means at the upper edge of one of said strips interlocking with the upper edge portion of the other of said strips.
2. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections, and an expansion joint connect ing said sections with substantial side portions thereof in face to face overlapping relationship, said joint comprising a transverse strip upstanding from each of said flashing sections, flange means at the upper edge of one of said strips, and hook means at the upper end portion of said other strip adapted to interlock with said flange means.
3. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections, and an expansion joint connecting said sections with substantial side portions thereof in face to face overlapping relationship, said joint comprising a transverse strip upstanding fromeach of said flashing sections, and flange means at the upper edge of one of said strips,

4. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections, and an expansion joint connecting said sections in overlapping relationship, said joint comprising a transverse strip upstanding from each of said flashing sections, flange means at the upper edge of oneof said strips interlocking with the upper edge portion of the other strip, and means extending laterally and upwardly from the lower end of said flanged strip for fastening said strip to the. face of the flashing section and securing a weep-hole forming wick in positionadjacent the intersection of the strip and flashing section. 1
5. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections the adjacent transverse side portions of which are adapted to be connected in face to face overlapping relationship, one of said sections having a laterally flanged, upstanding metal strip secured to its upper face inwardly of a transverse edge, and said other section having an upturned transverse edge portion adapted to hook under the laterally flanged strip of said first mentioned section.
6. A flashing composed of at least two transversely corrugated sheet metal sections the adjacent transverse edge portions of which are adapted to be connected in overlapping, registering relationship, one of said sections having an upstanding strip extending transverselyacross the sheet, the upper edge portion of which strip is laterally turned and transversely corrugated to provide a locking flange overlaying the corrugated side portion of the sheet, and said other section having an upturned transverse edge portion adapted to engage under the corrugated flanged strip of said first mentioned section, whereby to retain the corrugations of the over lapping portions of the sheets in nested relationship preventing displacement of the flashing sections in use.
7. In a through wall flashing sheet, a strip of sheet metal having longitudinally extending portions thereof bent over at'substantially right angles to the intermediate web portion ofthe strip to provide flanges, one of said flanges being connected to said sheet to extend transversely thereof and supporting the web portion of the strip in vertical position with said other flange overlaying said sheet, and means formed in part with said strip for securing a weep-hole forming wick to said flashing sheet.
8. In a through wall flashing sheet having a weep-hole forming wick extending transversely thereof, anchor clips therefor comprising a strip of sheet metal having longitudinal portions thereof reversely bent on opposite sides of its center to provide oppositely facing channels, the lower flanged portions of which are adapted to be secured to said flashing sheet on opposite sides of said wick.
9. A sheet metal through wall flashing sheet having a weep-hole forming wick extending substantially transversely thereof, and bifurcated clips secured to said sheet and engaging the sides of said wick to retain the wick adjacent the surface of the sheet, said clip having a side portion overlaying the adjacent surface of the sheet to provide a bonding mortar receiving and locking key for the sheet.
10. A sheet metal through wall flashing sheet having anchor clip means secured to one face thereof, each of said clip means having parallel side portions secured at laterally spaced points to said sheet and intermediate portions spaced from said sheet and cooperating therewith-to provide a wick securing clip and a three point mortar receiving and locking key for the sheet.
11. A sheet metal through wall flashing sheet having mortar-receiving and anchoring means secured to one face thereof, said means having an upstanding web portion extending in a direction transversely of the sheet, the upper edge of which is bent at substantially right angles to the web, and means for securing a weep hole forming means adjacent said web.
12. In a through wall flashing sheet, bifurcated mortar anchoring means secured to said sheet, said means having oppositely extending side flange portions overlaying the surface of said sheet to opposite sides of said means and extending inwardly over the space between said means.
13. In a through wall flashing sheet, mortar anchoring clips secured to one face thereof, said clips comprising sheet metal strips bent into substantial U-shape, the side portions of which extend out over the surface of the sheet on opposite sides of said clips, and means for securing a weep hole forming means thereto.
14. In a through wall flashing sheet, mortar anchoring clips secured to one face thereof, each of said clips comprising a sheet metal strip bent into substantial U-shape with the spaced side portions thereof extending over the surface of the sheet on opposite sides of said clip, at least one of said side portions having a finger bendable toward the other side portion to provide with said side portions a wick securing clip.
15. An anchor clip for a flashing sheet, comprising an inverted trough shaped member having a flat top and sides bent under the top to form double-wall side flanges the vertical webs of which extend at right-angles from the top to form a support therefor and for attachment to a flashing sheet.
16. An anchor clip for a flashing sheet, comprising a flat top member provided at each side thereof with integral trough shaped members bent under the top member and opening outwardly, the side walls of the trough shaped member opposite the top member serving as supports for the top member and for attachment to a flashing sheet.
17. An anchor clip for a flashing sheet, comprising a channel member having a top portion substantially wider than the channel portion to provide overhanging flanges, the free side edges of the channel walls extending outwardly for attachment to a flashing sheet.

In combination a flashing sheet, an anchor clip attached thereto, said clip comprising a channel shaped member having a top portion of substantially greater width than the channel portion to provide outwardly extending overhanging flanges, the side walls of the channel member being bent outwardly at their free edges to form bases which are attached to the flashing sheet. 7
19. A through Wall flashing sheet having transversely extending anchor clips secured to opposite sides thereof, the anchor clips on one side of the flashing sheet being disposed intermediate those on the opposite side, and weephole forming wicks held between certain of said anchor clips and said sheet.
20. In a through wall flashing sheet having weep hole forming wicks extending across the face thereof, mortar anchoring keys extending from opposite faces of said sheet, said keys having means to secure said wicks to said sheet.
21. A flashing composed of at least two sheet metal sections the adjacent side portions of which are-transversely corrugated, and an expansion joint connecting the corrugated side portions of said sections in face to face overlapping relationship, said transversely extending means upstanding from the upper face of one flashing section inwardly of a transverse edge thereof, and transversely extending means upstanding from the transverse edge of the overlying flashing section adapted to interlock with said first mentioned means.
