Abstract
A flexible liner of the type adopted for a waste disposable container wherein the flexible liner is interposed within other flexible liners and placed inside of a waste disposable container. The flexible liners are held in place by lifting strap loops affixed to the flexible liners.
Description
- This invention relates to an article of manufacture for a flexible liner of the type adopted for a waste disposable container. There has been a recent trend in metropolitan areas and institutional organizations, such as restaurants, hospitals and the like, to do away with permanent waste or garbage containers and cans by substituting large garbage bags or containers which can be handled without contamination and which would easily permit disposal of garbage and trash. Various attempts have been made at producing inexpensive and efficient frames, and holders to support such refuse bags or containers during the filling thereof A great majority of these devices embody the concept of an interior metal ring or collar over which is slipped the top margin of the container thereupon securing the container to the supporting apparatus. The basic disability of this prior art concept is the exposure of the metal collar or ring to contamination and the relative difficulty of securing the bag in place.
- Therefore, an object of this invention is to provide a flexible liner that is interposed into other individual flexible liner so that a stack of individual liners are assembled with the waste disposable container.
- Also, various attempts have previously been made at supplying a waste disposal container adapted to cooperate with a holder having parallel horizontal supporting arms. Among these have been the provision of supporting arm receiving tubes secured to the upper sides of the container. The receiving tubes are fabricated separately from the container and are subsequently secured thereto. This obviously provides greater manufacturing costs due to the provision and handling of additional components.
- Accordingly, it is a further object of this invention to provide an inexpensive waste disposal liner for any size or shape container.
- It is still a further object of this invention to provide a flexible, disposal liner wherein such individual liner is interposed inside of each and every other individual liner so that when the first exposed liner is full of trash or the like it can be removed and discarded and a new, fresh liner is exposed in the first liner's place in the container.
- With these and other objects in view, the invention resides in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of the parts, the essential features of which are hereinafter fully described, are particularly pointed out in the appended claim, and are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:
- For the purpose of illustrating the invention, there are shown in the accompanying drawings forms which are presently preferred; it being understood that the invention is not intended to be limited to the precise arrangements and instrumentality's shown.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a interposed, flexible liners affixed with handle means.
- FIG. 2 is a view similar to FIG. 1 but showing how the interposed, flexible liners are curled over the lip of a waste disposal container.
- FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2 but showing how one interposed, flexible liner is, once filled with waste, removed from the remaining interposed, flexible liners.
- FIG. 4 illustrates the means of securing one liner to another by using two pins at the base of the lifting strap loops and means of carrying a complete series of the interposed, flexible liners.
- FIG. 5 is a side view at
break line 5 of FIG. 4 showing a series of interposed, flexible liners held by a pin means to hold all the flexible liners together at the base of the lifting strap loops. - Referring now to the drawings in detail wherein like reference numbers have been used through out the various figures to illustrate like elements, there is shown in FIG. 1 a perspective view of a plurality of flexible liners1. These flexible liners 1 have affixed to them a
lifting strap loops 2. Theselifting strap loops 2 are affixed to the flexible liners 1 by a pin means 3. This pin means 3 serves as a fastener of thelifting strap loops 2 to the flexible liners 1. This pin means 3 is of such a structure as to permit the flexible liners 1 to be removed, one at a time once full of waste, from the remaining flexible liners 1. Thus presenting a clean flexible liner 1. - FIG. 2 illustrates the manner in which the flexible liners1 are positioned within a
waste disposal container 4. Thiswaste disposal container 4 can be of any structure or any geometrical configuration. Placed and positioned within thewaste disposal container 4 are a plurality of flexible liners 1. As further illustrated in FIG. 2 the top portion of the plurality of the flexible liners 1 are folded over the top rim of thewaste disposal container 4. This folding over of the tope of the flexible liners 1 over the rim of thewaste disposal container 4 supports the flexible liners 1 with in the container. - FIG. 3 illustrates the manner in which the flexible liner1, once full of waste or the like, is removed from the remaining unused flexible liners 1. To secure the full of waste or like, of the flexible liner 1, a tie means 5 is illustrated. Any security devise is contemplated in this invention.
- FIG. 4 is a fragmented view which illustrates the means of securing one flexible liner1 to the plurality of the other flexible liners 1, by the pin means 3 as affixed through the flexible liners 1 and the
lifting strap loops 2. - FIG. 5 is a side view at
break line 5 of FIG. 4 showing a series of interposed flexible liners 1 held by apin means 3. - The present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential attributes thereof and accordingly, reference should be made to the appended claims rather than to the foregoing specification as indicating the scope of the invention.
Claims (3)
1. A flexible liner of the type adopted for a waste disposable container comprising: a flexible liner including a bottom and an encircling side wall connected to the bottom and defining the outer perimeter of the flexible liner; and a top opening; a pair of lifting strap loops, each of said loops having a pair of ends affixed to the encircling side wall; the top opening of the flexible liner being capable of receiving a plurality of additional individual liners within the top opening so that one flexible liner is interposed into each and every other flexible liner; and a means for maintaining the flexible liner lifting strap loops substantially vertically within the waste disposable container.
2. The flexible liner of the type adapted for the waste disposable container as claimed in claim 1 wherein the top opening is substantially rectangularly shaped shape and substantially vertical within the container.
3. The flexible liner of the type adapted for the waste disposable container as claimed in claim 1 wherein the top opening is substantially circularly shaped and substantially vertical within the container.
