  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • I had a problem of when having a shower there would always be water on the floor outside of my bath tub. I used other leak prevention devices out in the market, but was never really satisfied with their performance or appearance. So, I started thinking and came up with this idea for an invention. [0004]
  • BREIF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • This three dimentional object is to be adheased to the bathtub edge and shower wall where the bathtub is being used as a shower facility. This object will help prevent water from escaping from the upper edge of the tub and running down to the floor. [0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • FIGS. [0006] 1-6 shows the usual bathtup/shower setting where the Shower/Splash guard is intended to be used. It shows where the shower guard would be placed on the bathtub edge against the shower wall, this view point is from within the bathtub. FIGS. 2-6 showes a profile view of the same setting from a point of view from outside the bathtub. FIGS. 3-6 shows an overhead view of the bathtub setting, this view shows both a left sided version and a right sided version of the Shower/Splash guard. FIGS. 4-6 shows a left view of the Shower/Splash Guard. FIGS. 5-6 shows a right view of the Shower/Splash Guard. FIGS. 6-6 shows an overhead view of the left Shower/Splash Guard.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • A bathtub shower accessory to be used on the same side of the bathtub as the water spigot/shower head. It is made up of one three dimentional element with one side to be flat and be adheased to the outer wall of the shower and bottom of the element to be flat and adheased to the the upper edge of the bathtub, with the outer side being flat and verticle to the outer edge of the bathtub . The outer edges of the base will extend at a right angle, the inner edge of the base will be of a cresent shape and on the edge away from the shower wall shall curve in towards the bathtub to help return water to the bathtub. The side adheased to the outer wall will curve upward in a crescent shape to a point. From this point the outer edge will then curve down in a cresent shape towards the opposite side of the bath tub with it's lower end meeting where the base is curved in towards the bath tub. The inner surface facing the bathtub will be scallopped or inward sloping from the cresent edge of the base up to the point where the two sides meet. A mirror immage accessory is to be available for both sides to eliminate the water problem on either side. It should be created of an easily cleanable material, offered in a material of glazed ceramic or synthetic-rubber type material. It can be white or of other asthetically pleasing colors. The uniqueness of this invention is that it is to be of low profile, easy to install, the sloped/scalloped edges will better help keep the water in and direct the water to the bathtub and allow for easy access. [0007]

Claims (5)

What I claim my invention is:
1. A Shower/Splash Guard to be used where the shower is an extention of the bathtub and a shower curtain is used.
2. Designed with easy installation and cleanup in mind.
3. The scallopped inner side and sloped outer edges with a hooked edge going out from the wall to help return the water to the bath tub.
4. Allows for easy access and is asthetically pleasing
5. This Shower/Splash Guard is a three dimentional object with a triangular base (where the long edge is curved in a bit and the end away from the shower wall will curve inward towards the back shower wall to help direct water to the tub). From the two outer points of the base, the edges will slope upwards to meet at a point several inches above the apex of the base triangle. The two outersurfaces will be flat, where one edge will be flat and rest against the shower wall, the facing edge will also be flat and face outwards away from the shower and the inside surface will slope down from the point above the base's apex to the curved edge of the base traingle. The Shower/Splash Guard in not intended to be used with a stand alone shower.
