Description
- The present invention relates to a portable hair drying system and more particularly pertains to allowing hair to be dried and styled at a variety of locations.
- The use of hair dryer devices is known in the prior art. More specifically, hair dryer devices heretofore devised and utilized for the purpose of drying hair are known to consist basically of familiar, expected and obvious structural configurations, notwithstanding the myriad of designs encompassed by the crowded prior art which have been developed for the fulfillment of countless objectives and requirements.
- By way of example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,787,601 to Stelly discloses a rechargeable battery powered portable hair dryer comprised of a hair bonnet and waist strap. U.S. Pat. No. 3,578,000 to Horecky discloses a housing for a portable hair dryer with a compartment for manicure attachments. U.S. Pat. No. 3,386,184 to Ponczek discloses a portable case for a hair dryer, hose and cap.
- While these devices fulfill their respective, particular objective and requirements, the aforementioned patents do not describe a portable hair drying system for allowing hair to be dried and styled at a variety of locations.
- In this respect, the portable hair drying system according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in doing so provides an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of allowing hair to be dried and styled at a variety of locations.
- Therefore, it can be appreciated that there exists a continuing need for a new and improved portable hair drying system which can be used for allowing hair to be dried and styled at a variety of locations. In this regard, the present invention substantially fulfills this need.
- In the view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of hair dryer devices now present in the prior art, the present invention provides an improved portable hair drying system. As such, the general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new and improved portable hair drying system which has all the advantages of the prior art and none of the disadvantages.
- To attain this, the present invention essentially comprises a rechargeable blower having a generally cylindrical configuration. The blower has an enlarged base portion and a muzzle portion. The muzzle portion allows air to be blown outwardly therethrough. The base portion has a belt clip secured thereto. The blower has a power switch and a setting switch. The blower has a rechargeable battery disposed therein with a corresponding battery charger. The muzzle portion has a securement track secured thereto. A handle portion is adapted for removably coupling with the rechargeable blower. The handle portion has a generally rectangular configuration defined by a narrow upper end, a narrow lower end, and opposed wide sides. One of the sides has knurls formed therein. The narrow upper end has a cylindrical bar secured thereto. The cylindrical bar is slidably coupled with the securement track of the muzzle portion of the blower whereby the handle portion is essentially laterally disposed with respect to the blower. A brush attachment is adapted for removably coupling with the muzzle portion of the rechargeable blower. A comb attachment is adapted for removably coupling with the muzzle portion of the rechargeable blower. A flexible tube is adapted for removably coupling with the rechargeable blower. The flexible tube has an open lower end and an open upper end. The open lower end is adapted for removably coupling with the muzzle portion of the blower. The open upper end has a locking tab member extending laterally therefrom. A drying cap is dimensioned for being positioned over an individual's head. The drying cap includes an interior layer and an exterior layer separated by a central air chamber. The interior layer is positioned on the individual's head. The interior layer has a plurality of aperture's therethrough in a spaced relationship. The exterior layer has an open collar in communication with the central air chamber. The open collar is adapted for removably coupling with the open upper end of the flexible tube. The exterior layer has a protrusion extending outwardly therefrom adjacent to the open collar for removably coupling with the locking tab member of the flexible tube. A carrying case is adapted for receiving the rechargeable blower, the handle portion, the brush attachment, the comb attachment, the flexible tube and the drying cap therein.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are, of course, additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.
