A paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun includes a cartridge, a vibration means mounted within the cartridge, and a resilient means for absorbing vibration to the cartridge, whereby bullets can be smoothly fed to a gun without influencing the aiming of the gun
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention is related to a bullet feeder for paint ball guns and in particular to one which can feed bullets smoothly into a gun without influencing aiming of the gun.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- As shown in FIG.1, the conventional
paint bullet gun 10 is provided with aseat 11 at the top for receiving a funnel-shaped outlet 22 of acartridge 20. The upper portion of thecartridge 20 is provided with a cover from which paint bullets 50 can be filled into thecartridge 20. However, the paint balls 50 will often jam when moving down the funnel-shaped outlet 22, due to too many balls moving down theoutlet 22 simultaneously. This drawback makes it impossible for the user to fire the paint bullet continuously and this jamming situation is very common in conventional paint bullet guns. - Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun which can obviate and mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks.
- This invention is related to an improvement in the structure of a paint bullet feeder for paint ball guns.
- It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a paint bullet feeder for paint ball guns which can feed bullets into a gun smoothly without influencing the aiming of the gun
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a paint bullet feeder for paint ball guns which is simple in construction.
- The foregoing objects and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts. Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
- FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the prior art paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun;
- FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun according to the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the present invention; and
- FIG. 4 is an enlarged sectional view of the present invention.
- For the purpose of promoting an understanding of the principles of the invention, reference will now be made to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings. Specific language will be used to describe same. It will, nevertheless, be understood that no limitation of the scope of the invention is thereby intended, such alterations and further modifications in the illustrated device, and such further applications of the principles of the invention as illustrated herein being contemplated as would normally occur to one skilled in the art to which the invention relates.
- With reference to the drawings and in particular to FIGS. 2 and 3 thereof, the paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun according to the present invention generally comprises a
cartridge 20 with an inlet provided with alid 21. Thecartridge 20 has anoutlet 22 at the bottom adapted to connect to a gun. The upper portion of thecartridge 20 is provided with abattery chamber 23 engageable with acover 25. Abattery 24 is fitted inside thebattery chamber 23. Arecess 26 is formed on the top of thecartridge 20 for receiving aswitch 27 which is electrically connected with thebattery 24. Aseat 28 is formed on the inner top side of thecartridge 20 for mounting an upper end of aspring 32. Aflexible tube 33 is fitted within thespring 32. Aconical member 31 composed of two half portions has an upper end engaged with the lower end of thespring 32. Avibration motor 30 is fitted within theconical member 31 and has connecting wires extending through theflexible tube 33 to connect with theswitch 27. Thevibration motor 30 has a downwardly extending output shaft on which is eccentrically mounted acam 32, so that when theswitch 27 is turned on, thevibration motor 30 will vibrate thereby causing theconical member 31 to vibrate. - Referring to FIG. 4, the
conical member 31 is suspended within thecartridge 20 by thespring 33 and positioned right above theoutlet 22. When theswitch 27 is turned on, thecam 32 will rotate thereby causing thevibration motor 30 to vibrate and therefore vibrating theconical member 31. As a consequence, thebullets 15 will be subject to vibration so that thebullets 15 will fall down into theoutlet 22 in order. Meanwhile, the vibration of thevibration motor 30 will be absorbed by thespring 32 thereby preventing the gun from oscillating so that the aiming of the gun will not be influenced. - It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
- While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
Claims (6)
1. A paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun comprising a cartridge, a vibration means mounted within said cartridge, and a resilient means for absorbing vibration to said cartridge, whereby bullets can be smoothly fed to a gun.
2. The paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said cartridge has a lower portion provided with an outlet and an upper portion provided with an inlet with a lid, an upper portion of said cartridge being formed with a battery chamber engageable with a cover, a battery fitted inside said battery chamber, a recess formed on a top of said cartridge for receiving a switch which is electrically connected with said battery, a seat formed on an inner top side of said cartridge.
3. The paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said resilient member is a spring having an upper end engaged with said seat and a lower end engaged with said vibration means.
4. The paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a flexible tube is fitted within said spring.
5. The paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said vibration means includes a conical member composed of two half portions and a vibration motor fitted within said conical member and having connecting wires extending through said flexible tube to connect with said switch, said vibration motor having a downwardly extending output shaft on which is eccentrically mounted a cam.
6. The paint bullet feeder for a paint ball gun as claimed in claim 5 , wherein said conical member is positioned right above said outlet of said cartridge.
