Abstract
An outsole and nameplate arrangement includes an outsole, the outsole having a backwardly extended sliding slot in the heel thereof, a nameplate moved in and out of the sliding slot of the outsole, and an elastic rubber band wound round two locating pins inside the sliding slot of the outsole and fastened to a rear hook of the nameplate and adapted to hold the nameplate in the sliding slot of the outsole.
Description
- The present invention relates to shoes and, more specifically, to an outsole and nameplate arrangement for shoe, in which an elastic rubber band is mounted in a backwardly extended sliding slot in the heel of the outsole to hold a nameplate inside the sliding slot.
- Old person or young children may miss the way home when go outdoors. In order to provide a contact information, people may hung a nameplate or the like on the wrist or neck of the old person or young child who may get lost easily. By means of the contact information provided on the nameplate, people can help the old person or young child who gets lost.
- The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is one object of the present invention to provide an outsole and nameplate arrangement for shoe, which provides the user with a contact information so that the user can receive help from other persons when getting lost. It is another object of the present invention to provide an outsole and nameplate arrangement for shoe, which keeps the nameplate in the sole, preventing the user from losing the nameplate. According to one aspect of the present invention, the outsole and nameplate arrangement comprises an outsole having a heel and a backwardly extended sliding slot in the heel, a nameplate moved in and out of the sliding slot of the outsole, and spring means mounted inside the outsole and holding the nameplate inside the sliding slot. When pulling the nameplate out of the sliding slot of the outsole, the message on the nameplate is read. When releasing the nameplate from the hand, the spring means automatically pulls the nameplate back to the inside of the sliding slot of the outsole.
- FIG. 1 is an elevational view of a shoe constructed according to the present invention, showing the nameplate pulled out of the sliding slot of the outsole.
- FIG. 2 is a side view in section of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 is a top view showing the positioning of the springy member in the sliding slot of the outsole, the rear hook of the nameplate hooked on the springy member.
- Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the outsole, referenced by1, has a backwardly extended
sliding slot 12 in the heel thereof. Anameplate 14 is inserted into thesliding slot 12, having ahandhold portion 144 disposed outside theoutsole 1. Aspringy member 2 is mounted inside thesliding slot 12 and connected to one end of thenameplate 14 remote from thehandhold portion 144. Thespringy member 2 imparts a pull force to thenameplate 14, keeping thenameplate 14 received in thesliding slot 12. - Referring to FIG. 3, the
springy member 2 is anelastic rubber band 24 wound on two locatingpins 22 inside the slidingslot 12. Thenameplate 14 has arear hook 142 hooked onelastic rubber band 24. When thenameplate 14 is released from the hand after pulling, theelastic rubber band 24 immediately returns to its former shape to pull thenameplate 14 back to the inside of thesliding slot 12. Thenameplate 14 can be adhered with a message sheet, or a message can be directly written on thenameplate 14. When the user pulls thenameplate 14 out of thesliding slot 12, the message on thenameplate 14 is read. After reading of the message, thenameplate 14 is released from the hand and pulled back to the inside of thesliding slot 12 by thespringy member 2. - While only one embodiment of the present invention has been shown and described, it will be understood that various modifications and changes could be made thereunto without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention disclosed.
