Abstract

A watch box shaped handbag includes a bag body including a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall, and rear wall wherein the front and rear walls are integrally connected between the two side walls respectively to define a storage compartment therein for receiving an ornament therein, a bag cover pivotally connected with the rear wall of the bag body comprising a display window provided on a top surface of the bag cover, a supporting frame for rigidly supporting the bag body encircling an interior of the bag body, and means for carrying the handbag. So, when the ornament is held in the handbag, the ornament is capable of being seen from outside through the display window, so as to provide a full protection of the ornament and prevent the ornament from being accidentally removed from the handbag.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a handbag, and more particularly to a watch box shaped handbag with display window, which is adapted for displaying, packaging, and storing an ornament such as watches, rings, jewelries, etc., so as to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the handbag.

2. Description of Related Arts

Traditionally, a watch or an item of jewelry is held and display in a jewelry box for purposely showing the aesthetic characteristics of the ornament. The watch or jewelry is disposed in a groove or onto a mount which is provided in an inner cavity of the jewelry box.

There are two types of the jewelry box. First, the jewelry box comprises a box body and a cover pivotally connected with the box body. In order to display the ornament inside the jewelry box, the cover must pivotally open from the box body. However, such jewelry box will waste lots of space storage especially when displaying.

Another type of the jewelry box also comprises the box body and the cover detachably attached to the box body. While the ornament is displayed, the cover is separated from the box body. It is inconvenient to place and is easy to lose the cover. Thus, people always have conflict between packaging and displaying. Ignoring the right packaging may depreciate the value of the product. So, the jewelry box is important for the ornament since the jewelry box can not only store and display the ornament but also provide the best protection for the ornament.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

A main object of the present invention is to provide a watch box shaped handbag with display window, which is facilitated to display an ornament mounted in the handbag through the display window, so as to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the ornament.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a watch box shaped handbag with display window, wherein the ornament is securely hold inside the handbag since the ornament is displayed through the display window of the handbag which is in a closed position, so as to prevent the ornament from accidentally being removed from the handbag.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a watch box shaped handbag with display window, which is facilitated to store, package, and carry the ornament with the handbag.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a watch box shaped handbag with display window, wherein the handbag takes less storage space for displaying the ornament since the handbag does not require to open its cover in order to show the ornament. Thus, the handbag can prevent the ornament from getting dusty as well.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a watch box shaped handbag with display window, wherein the handbag comprises a supporting frame for providing a full protection of the ornament.

Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a watch box shaped handbag with display window, comprising:

a bag body comprising a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall, and rear wall wherein the front and rear walls are integrally connected between the two side walls respectively to define a storage compartment therein for receiving an ornament therein;

a bag cover pivotally connected with the rear wall of the bag body comprising a display window provided on a top surface of the bag cover in such a manner that the ornament in the storage compartment is adapted for being seen from outside through the display window;

a supporting frame for rigidly supporting the bag body encircling an interior of the bag body; and

means for carrying the handbag.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. [0023] 1 to 6 of the drawings, a watch box shaped handbag with display window according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The handbag comprises a bag body 10, a bag cover 20, a supporting frame 30, and a carrying means 40.
The [0024] bag body 10 of the handbag comprises a pair of opposed side walls 11, 12, a front wall 13, and rear wall 14 wherein the front and rear walls 13, 14 are integrally connected between the two side walls 11, 12 respectively to define a storage compartment 15 therein for receiving an ornament 2 therein.
According to the preferred embodiment, the [0025] bag body 10 has a box shape which can be in rectangular shape or in trapezoid shape. The two side walls 11, 12, and the front and rear walls 13, 14 are preferable made of soft material such as leather or cotton that is capable of unfolding and expanding a volume of the storage compartment 15 wherein the rear wall 14 of the bag body 10 can be reinforced by a rigid member such as cardboard for rigidly forming the shape of the bag body 10. The bag body 10 further comprises a base wall 16 affixed on bottom edges of the front wall 13, rear wall 14, and two side walls 11, 12, wherein the base wall 16 comprises the rigid member such as cardboard (not shown) in order to reinforce the shape of the bag body 10.
The [0026] bag cover 20, which is made of the same material of the bag body 10, also has the corresponding box shape and has four edges for fittedly covering on top of the storage compartment 15 formed by the front, rear, and side walls 11, 12, 13, 14. As shown in FIG. 5, at least an edge portion of the bag cover 20 is pivotally connected to the rear wall 14 of the bag body 10 by means of a hinge in such a manner that the bag cover 20 is adapted for pivotally folding up in order to open the bag body 10.
The [0027] bag cover 20 further comprises a display window 21 provided on a top surface 201 of the bag cover 20 in such a manner that the ornament 2 received in the storage compartment 15 is adapted for being seen from outside through the display window 20. The display window 21 is preferably made of transparent material such as plastic such that a user is able to see through the interior of the bag body 10, which is the storage compartment 15, from the display window 21. Since the material of the display window 21 may not be the same material of the bag cover 20, the display window 21 is preferably stitched on the bag cover 20 or pressed on the bag cover 20 by means of heat treatment such that the display window 21 is securely affixed on the bag cover 20 in position.
The supporting [0028] frame 30 is adapted for rigidly supporting the bag body 10 wherein the supporting frame 30 having four rigid members made of wood, plastic, or metal is formed in rectangular shape. The supporting frame 30 is disposed in the storage compartment 15 and mounted on interior surfaces of the front wall 13, rear wall 14, and two side walls 11, 12, so as to rigidly support the bag body 10.
Accordingly, the carrying means [0029] 40 of the present invention is a chain which can be made of metal or plastic, wherein the carrying means 40 has two ends respectively connected to the two side walls 11, 12 such that the user is able to carry the handbag by holding the carrying means 40 thereof.
For achieving a better result, the two ends of the chain of the carrying means [0030] 40 can be penetrated through the two side walls 11, 12 and affixed to the supporting frame 30 such the a weight of the handbag including the ornament 2 can be evenly distributed to the supporting frame 30, so as to prevent the two side walls 11, 12 of the bag body 10 from being worn out.
The handbag further comprises a [0031] holding means 50 fittedly disposed in the storage compartment 15 for holding the ornament 2 in position wherein the holding means according to the preferred embodiment is a soft stuffing for the ornament encircling thereon, which can protect the ornament 2 and enhance the aesthetic characters of the ornament 2. As shown in FIG. 5, for example, the ornament 2 is a watch mounted on the soft stuffing 50 and is received in the storage compartment 15 wherein when closing the bag cover 20, the watch of the ornament 2 is adapted for being seen from outside through the display window 21. So, the user does not have to open up the handbag in order to illustrate the ornament 2.
The advantages of watch box shaped handbag with display widow of the present invention include the following: [0032]
(1) Since the [0033] ornament 2 is displayed through the display window 21 of the handbag, the user does not have to open the handbag, so as to prevent the ornament 2 from accidentally being removed from the handbag. Thus, the handbag can prevent the ornament 2 from getting dusty as well
(2) The [0034] ornament 2 is well protected in the handbag by the supporting frame 30 such that the ornament 2 is easy to be stored, packaged, and carried with the handbag without damaging the ornament 2.
(3) For displaying the [0035] ornament 2, the handbag does not require lots of storage space since the handbag need not to be opened its bag cover 20 unless when the user intentionally opens the bag cover 20 for taking out the ornament 2.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A watch box shaped handbag, comprising:

a bag body comprising a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall, and rear wall wherein said front and rear walls are integrally connected between said two side walls respectively to define a storage compartment therein for receiving an ornament therein;

a bag cover pivotally connected with said rear wall of said bag body comprising a display window provided on a top surface of said bag cover in such a manner that said ornament in said storage compartment is adapted for being seen from outside through said display window;

a supporting frame for rigidly supporting said bag body; and

means for carrying said handbag.

2. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 1, wherein said display window is made of transparent material.

3. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 1, wherein said side walls and said front and rear walls are made of soft material that is capable of unfolding and expanding a volume of said storage compartment of said bag body.

4. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 2, wherein said side walls and said front and rear walls are made of soft material that is capable of unfolding and expanding a volume of said storage compartment of said bag body.

5. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 1, wherein said supporting frame is disposed in said storage compartment and mounted on interior surfaces of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls, so as to rigidly support said bag body.

6. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 2, wherein said supporting frame is disposed in said storage compartment and mounted on interior surfaces of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls, so as to rigidly support said bag body.

7. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 3, wherein said supporting frame is disposed in said storage compartment and mounted on interior surfaces of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls, so as to rigidly support said bag body.

8. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 4, wherein said supporting frame is disposed in said storage compartment and mounted on interior surfaces of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls, so as to rigidly support said bag body.

9. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 1, wherein said carrying means is a chain having two ends respectively affixed to said two side walls of the bag body.

10. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 4, wherein said carrying means is a chain having two ends respectively affixed to said two side walls of the bag body.

11. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 8, wherein said carrying means is a chain having two ends respectively affixed to said two side walls of the bag body.

12. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 1, wherein said bag body further comprises a base wall affixed on bottom edges of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls for reinforcing a shape of said bag body.

13. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 4, wherein said bag body further comprises a base wall affixed on bottom edges of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls for reinforcing a shape of said bag body.

14. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 8, wherein said bag body further comprises a base wall affixed on bottom edges of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls for reinforcing a shape of said bag body.

15. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 11, wherein said bag body further comprises a base wall affixed on bottom edges of said front wall, rear wall, and two side walls for reinforcing a shape of said bag body.

16. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 8, further comprising a holding means fittedly disposed in said storage compartment of said bag body for holding said ornament in position.

17. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 11, further comprising a holding means fittedly disposed in said storage compartment of said bag body for holding said ornament in position.

18. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 15, further comprising a holding means fittedly disposed in said storage compartment of said bag body for holding said ornament in position.

19. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 17, wherein said holding means is a soft stuffing for said ornament encircling thereon, so as to protect said ornament and enhance an aesthetic character of said ornament.

20. A watch box shaped handbag, as recited in claim 18, wherein said holding means is a soft stuffing for said ornament encircling thereon, so as to protect said ornament and enhance an aesthetic character of said ornament.
