Abstract

The Weekender toothbrush holder is a personal, temporary toothbrush holder designed on a flat stiff paper material ¾ by 6 inches. The card has 4 holes strategically spaced and lines scored to facilitate the necessary folding. When folded as instructed the holder has a strip of 2-sided adhesive that holds the folded area together that forms a shelf. This shelf now has a set of two holes, which can each accommodate a toothbrush. A portion of the adhesive is left exposed which can now allow the completed holder to be securely attached to any clean dry area.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The absence of a Toothbrush Holder for the hotel guest makes this a desirable and essential article. Obviously the lack of a toothbrush holder in hotels is prompted by the basic health and sanitary precautions. The problem of storing a toothbrush in a hotel bathroom has always presented a dilemma. It had to be left exposed on a questionable sanitary area or returned to your overnight kit. Neither has been a convenient option. [0004]
  • The answer seemed to be “bring your own holder.” Or better, make available an inexpensive holder which the hotel could offer as an amenity to their guests. [0005]
  • A disposable holder could also be made available for your own houseguests or as a take-along for yourself on visits away from home. [0006]
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • During the designing stages the importance of such an article became more apparent. This holder is inexpensive and disposable. It will support up to two tooth brushes. The brush should not make contact with the wall or shelf when stored in this holder. [0007]
  • This holder has the advantage of being in one flat piece before assembly. Thus, shipping and storage requirements are minimized, reducing costs. [0008]
  • This card measures 3¼×6 inches and comes with 4 holes strategically drilled to {fraction (5/8)} inches. The reverse side has 3 horizontal lines spaced 1 inch apart and scored to facilitate the folding which when folded as directed brings the holes together to form a shelf and position the holes together to accommodate two toothbrushes. [0009]
  • A 2 inch strip of two sided adhesive on the reverse side holds the folded shelf together and also secures the holder to a clean dry area on a wall or mirror. [0010]
  • The overall simplicity of design and appearance adds to the novelty and promotional possibilities of this holder. [0011]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • The drawings of the invention are shown on the attached Illustrations, FIGS. 1, 2, and [0012] 3.
  • FIG. 1 shows the front view before assembly. The upper part shows the 4 holes that are drilled or punched to {fraction (5/8)}″ diameter. When the card is folded as directed these holes become part of the shelf, which then are the 2 holes to store two toothbrushes. The lower half may be utilized for commercial messages or company logo at the discretion of the distributor of the product. The holes are pre-punched or drilled to {fraction (5/8)}″ diameter but could be cut or punched to form an oval or a slot to accommodate changes in the design of future toothbrushes. The {fraction (5/8)}″ holes satisfy current styles. [0013]
  • FIG. 2 shows the rear view of the card before assembly. The lines A, B, and C are scored to facilitate the folding that completes the assembly. Assembly directions are printed here directing the user to “Fold line A away from you. Fold line B toward you. Then peel adhesive and press holes together to form a shelf Then fold line C away from you.”As instructed the holder is then ready to be installed by pressing the remaining adhesive to a clean, dry area, a wall or mirror. This completes the assembly and the shelf is self-supporting. [0014]
  • FIG. 3 shows the completed assembly from a side view and a {fraction (3/4)} front view with one toothbrush in place.[0015]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The Yours Truly Weekender Toothbrush Holder is a personal, temporary toothbrush holder. It is a flat card of stiff paper material 3¼ by 6 inches. The card has 4 holes of {fraction (5/8)}″ diameter pre drilled in the upper area. The reverse side has three horizontal lines spaced [0016] 1 inch apart. These lines are scored to facilitate the necessary folding which will form a shelf When folded as instructed the holder has a strip of 2-sided adhesive that holds the folded area together that forms a shelf. The shelf now has a set of two holes, which can each accommodate a toothbrush.
  • Assembly instructions are clearly printed on the reverse side of the holder; “fold line A away from you. Fold line B toward you. Then peel off adhesive and press holes together to form a shelf. Fold line C away from you.”[0017]
  • The assembly of this article by the user has a multi-purpose. First by making it available in a flat sheet form it saves the extra cost of shipping and storage, which a more bulky ready assembled article would have. Secondly, experience has shown that the brief challenge of quickly assembling the holder gives the owner a sense of pride and accomplishment in solving the puzzle. It's easy and unique. [0018]
  • This holder is a personal, portable and disposable article to contain your toothbrush when hoteling or visiting away from home. A fixed toothbrush holder is not found in a hotel bathroom. Nor should you utilize the holder in a private home without approval.[0019]
