Abstract

A chair adjustment device has a U-shaped frame, a first connection plate having a first round hole, a first circular aperture, and a second circular aperture, a second connection plate having a second round hole, a first driven block having a through hole, a protruded bar, and a protrusion, and a second driven block having a through aperture. A shaft passes through the through aperture, the second round hole, the first round hole, and the through hole. A click gear is disposed in the first driven block. A click pawl has a first round aperture and a second round aperture. A compression spring is inserted in the circular aperture and the first round aperture. A rivet passes through the first circular aperture and the second round aperture. The click pawl engages with the click gear.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a chair adjustment device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a chair adjustment device which is operated easily. [0001]
  • A conventional chair adjustment device is connected to an air cylinder. However, it is cumbersome to operate the conventional chair adjustment device. [0002]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a chair adjustment device which is operated easily. [0003]
  • Accordingly, a chair adjustment device comprises a U-shaped frame, a first connection plate disposed on a first side of the U-shaped frame, a second connection plate disposed on a second side of the U-shaped frame, a first driven block covering the first connection plate, and a second driven block covering the second connection plate. The first connection plate has a first round hole, a first circular aperture, and a second circular aperture. The second connection plate has a second round hole. The first driven block has a through hole, a protruded bar, and a protrusion. The second driven block has a through aperture. A shaft passes through the through aperture of the second driven block, the second round hole of the second connection plate, the first round hole of the first connection plate, and the through hole of the first driven block. A click gear is disposed in the first driven block. A click pawl has a first round aperture and a second round aperture. A compression spring has a first end inserted in the circular aperture of the first connection plate and a second end inserted in the first round aperture of the click pawl. A rivet passes through the first circular aperture of the first connection plate and the second round aperture of the click pawl to fasten the first connection plate and the click pawl together. The click pawl engages with the click gear.[0004]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to FIGS. [0013] 1 to 3 and FIGS. 5 to 8, a first chair adjustment device comprises a U-shaped frame 1, a first connection plate 3 disposed on a first side of the U-shaped frame 1, a second connection plate 3 a disposed on a second side of the U-shaped frame 1, a first driven block 4 covering the first connection plate 3, and a second driven block 18 covering the second connection plate 3 a.
  • The [0014] first connection plate 3 has a first round hole 14, a first circular aperture 12, and a second circular aperture 17.
  • The second connection plate [0015] 3 a has a second round hole 14 a.
  • The first driven block [0016] 4 has a through hole 2, a protruded bar 5, and a protrusion 6.
  • The second driven [0017] block 18 has a through aperture 16.
  • A [0018] shaft 15 passes through the through aperture 16 of the second driven block 18, the second round hole 14 a of the second connection plate 3 a, the first round hole 14 of the first connection plate 3, and the through hole 2 of the first driven block 4.
  • A [0019] click gear 7 is disposed in the first driven block 4.
  • A [0020] click pawl 8 has a first round aperture 9 and a second round aperture 11.
  • A [0021] compression spring 10 has a first end 101 inserted in the circular aperture 17 of the first connection plate 3 and a second end 102 inserted in the first round aperture 9 of the click pawl 8.
  • A [0022] rivet 13 passes through the first circular aperture 12 of the first connection plate 3 and the second round aperture 11 of the click pawl 8 to fasten the first connection plate 3 and the click pawl 8 together.
  • The [0023] click pawl 8 engages with the click gear 7.
  • The U-shaped [0024] frame 1 is connected to a chair support frame 30 in a chair.
  • The first chair adjustment device is a [0025] headpiece adjustment device 19.
  • Referring to FIGS. [0026] 5 to 7 again, the click pawl 8 moves from the protruded bar 5 to the click gear 7.
  • Referring to FIG. 8 again, the [0027] click pawl 8 disengages from the click gear 7 and engages with the protrusion 6.
  • FIG. 4 shows a second chair adjustment device as an [0028] armrest adjustment device 20.
  • The invention is not limited to the above embodiment but various modification thereof may be made. Further, various changes in form and detail may be made without departing from the scope of the invention. [0029]

Claims (1)

I claim:
1. A chair adjustment device comprises
a U-shaped frame, a first connection plate disposed on a first side of the U-shaped frame, a second connection plate disposed on a second side of the U-shaped frame, a first driven block covering the first connection plate, and a second driven block covering the second connection plate,
the first connection plate having a first round hole, a first circular aperture, and a second circular aperture,
the second connection plate having a second round hole,
the first driven block having a through hole, a protruded bar, and a protrusion,
the second driven block having a through aperture,
a shaft passing through the through aperture of the second driven block, the second round hole of the second connection plate, the first round hole of the first connection plate, and the through hole of the first driven block,
a click gear disposed in the first driven block,
a click pawl having a first round aperture and a second round aperture,
a compression spring having a first end inserted in the circular aperture of the first connection plate and a second end inserted in the first round aperture of the click pawl,
a rivet passing through the first circular aperture of the first connection plate and the second round aperture of the click pawl to fasten the first connection plate and the click pawl together, and
the click pawl engaging with the click gear.
