Abstract

A weaving or spinning machine includes one or more thread guides secured on one or more fasteners and each having two ears, and a space formed between the ears for retaining a thread between the ears. The ears each includes a hook extended toward each other for retaining the thread between the ears. The ears of the thread guides may be engaged with each other with a projection-and-cavity engagement, for preventing the thread guides from being rotating relative to each other. One or more nuts may be engaged onto the fastener for fixing the thread guides on the fastener.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates to a thread guide, and more particularly to a thread guide for a weaving or spinning machine. [0002]
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art [0003]
  • Typical thread guides for the weaving or spinning machines are formed integral on the machines and may not be changed or adjusted according to the number of threads to be guided. When the number of the threads is decreased, some of the thread guides may not be used. However, when the number of the threads is increased, no additional thread guides may be easily attached to the machine for guiding the additional threads. [0004]
  • The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional thread guides for the weaving or spinning machines. [0005]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a thread guide including a structure that may be easily and adjustably secured or assembled to a weaving or spinning machine for guiding various numbers of threads. [0006]
  • In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a weaving machine or a spinning machine includes one or more thread guides secured on one or more fasteners. The thread guides each includes a pair of ears extended outward for forming a space between the ears and for retaining a thread between the ears. [0007]
  • The ears each includes a hook extended toward each other for retaining the thread between the ears. [0008]
  • The ears of one the thread guides include one or more projections extended outward, and the ears of the other thread guide includes one or more cavities for receiving the projections and for allowing the thread guides to be secured together and for preventing the thread guides from being moving or rotating relative to each other. [0009]
  • The thread guides may be engaged onto a fastener of the weaving or spinning machine and may be locked onto the fastener with lock nuts or the like. [0010]
  • Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of a detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to accompanying drawings.[0011]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a weaving or [0016] spinning machine 3 in accordance with the present invention comprises a number of spools 4 for supporting threads 41, and one or more thread guides 1 attached to the weaving or spinning machine 3 for guiding the threads 41, with such as one or more fasteners 2. The fastener 2, such as the bolt 2 is provided or disposed in the machine 3, and is preferably detachably secured to the machine 3 for allowing the thread guides 1 to be threaded onto the fastener 2. One or more lock nuts 5 (FIG. 2) may be threaded onto the fastener 2 and engaged with the thread guides 1 for locking and securing the thread guides 1 onto the fastener 2.
  • As shown in FIGS. [0017] 2-6, the thread guides 1 each includes a body 11 having a bore 14 for receiving the fastener 2 and for allowing the thread guides 1 to be easily and quickly engaged onto the fastener 2. The thread guide bodies 11 each includes two ears 12 extended from the body 11 and preferably parallel or substantially parallel to each other for forming or defining a space 17 between the ears 12. The ears 12 each includes an upper portion having a hook 13 extended from one side thereof and extended toward the other ear 12, for retaining the threads 41 in the space 17 of the thread guides 1 (FIG. 2).
  • As best shown in FIGS. [0018] 3-6, the hooks 13 are extended more than half-way through the space 17 of the thread guide 1, but not extended toward and to engage with the other ear 12. In addition, the hooks 13 of each of the thread guides 1 are spaced away from each other. such that the threads 41 may be easily and quickly engaged into and retained in the space 17 of the thread guide 1 by moving beyond or bypass the hooks 13.
  • The [0019] thread guides 1 each includes a projection 16 extended from one of the ears 12, and a cavity 15 formed in the other ear 12, for receiving the projection 16 of the other thread guide 1, and for securing the adjacent thread guide bodies 11 together, and for preventing the thread guides 1 from moving or rotating relative to each other.
  • In operation, one or more [0020] thread guide bodies 11 may be selectively engaged onto and secured on the fastener 2 by the lock nuts 5, and may be secured together by the engagement of the projections 16 in the cavities 15 of the ears 12 of the bodies 11. The number of the thread guide bodies 11 may be selected or determined according to the number of threads 41 that are required to be guided.
  • Accordingly, the thread guide in accordance with the present invention includes a structure that may be easily and adjustably secured or assembled to a weaving or spinning machine for guiding various numbers of threads. [0021]
  • Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed. Claims (12)

I claim:
1. A thread guide comprising:
a body including a pair of ears extended therefrom for forming a space between said ears and for retaining a thread between said ears.
2. The thread guide according to claim 1, wherein a first of said ears includes a hook extended toward a second of said ears.
3. The thread guide according to claim 1, wherein said ears each includes a hook extended toward each other for retaining the thread between said ears.
4. A thread guide according to claim 1, wherein said body includes a bore formed therein.
5. A thread guide comprising:
a first body and at least one second body each including a pair of ears extended therefrom for forming a space between said ears and for retaining a thread between said ears.
6. The thread guide according to claim 5, wherein said ears each includes a hook extended toward each other for retaining the thread between said ears.
7. A thread guide according to claim 5, wherein said body includes a bore formed therein.
8. The thread guide according to claim 5, wherein said ears of said first body include at least one cavity formed therein, and said ears of said at least one second body include at least one projection extended therefrom for engaging into said at least one cavity of said first body.
9. A weaving machine comprising:
a fastener,
a first body and at least one second body each including a bore formed therein for receiving said fastener and for securing onto said fastener, said first body and said at least one second body each including a pair of ears extended therefrom for forming a space between said ears and for retaining a thread between said ears.
10. The thread guide according to claim 9, wherein said ears each includes a hook extended toward each other for retaining the thread between said ears.
11. The thread guide according to claim 9, wherein said ears of said first body include at least one cavity formed therein, and said ears of said at least one second body include at least one projection extended therefrom for engaging into said at least one cavity of said first body.
12. The thread guide according to claim 9 further comprising means for locking said first body and said at least one second body on said fastener.
