The convenience with which this may be done, as well as the convenience in storing away the line again when desired, will be fully and clearly under stood by those versed in theart without a further and extended description.
In practice, and as disclosed, the holder: I may be readily and inexpensively made of a single piece of sheet metal from a blank la of the form shown in Fig. 4, in which the portions of the blank which form the walls of the holder are numbered to correspond with the walls. In producing the from the blank the blank is simply bent, by suitable means, along the dotted indicating lines, so as to produce the completed article.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, it will be seen that our invention provides a simple, inexpensive and convenient type of trot line holder afiording manifold advantages in the storing, setting and handling of trot lines; While this particular construction of holder is preferred, it will, of course, be understood that changes in the form, proportion and details of construction 7 of the holder falling within the scope of the appended 7 claims may be made Without sacrificing any of the advantages of theinvention.
What we claim is:-
1. A trot line holder. comprising an elongated channeled body of approximately inverted U- shape in cross-section and having longitudinally extending flanges at the lower ends of its side walls bent upward into the channel thereof and forming individual hook supporting flanges and a guideslot for the introduction and removal of the. hooks between theflanges.
. 2. A trot line holder comprising an elongated channeled body of approximately inverted U- shape in cross-section and having longitudinally of the flanges to expose the latter.
7 l.
