I claim? c A neckties comprising a compound lining consisting of a main lining of woven textile material out on the bias so as normally to be resilient in longitudinal and transverse directions, said'main lining being of the same length and shape as that of the tie and extending from end to end of the tie, a woven reinforcing strip cut straight and substantially non-resilient in longitudinal directions, said reinforcing strip being of the same length as the main lining and being sewn to the main lining by a single row of stitches extending substantially centrally of the main lining and irom end to end of the reinforcing strip, said stitching'uniting said linings to form a unitary compound interlining non-stretchable in lengthwise direction, said main lining and said reinforcing strip being unhemmed, the threads of said main lining being angularly disposed with respect to the cross threads of said reinforcing strip, the ends oi the threads of the main lining .being loose and freely movable, a casing enclosing said compound lining, said casing having substantially the same shape and configuration as the main lining.
