The accompanying drawing illustrates` one What I claim as my invention is: 25 complete example of the physical embodiment of 1. A table ornament of the character described the invention constructed accordingV to the best comprising, a base, a sheet metal band attached mode so far devised for the practical application atits ends to the base'and arched across the top of the principles thereof, and in which: y of the base, and a plurality of ribbon-like stream- Figure 1 is a perspective View of the ornament Vers extending in all directions from the opposite 30 set up and ready for use; Y. side edges of said sheet metal band, said band Figure 2 is a plan view of one of the two parts and streamers being integrally connected. of the device in its flat form as sold; and 2. A table ornament of the character de- Figure 3 is a plan view of the base of the orscribed, icomprising a base, a sheet metal band nament.V attached at its ends to the base and arched across 35 Referring now more particularly to the. acthe top of the base, a plurality of ribbon-like companying drawing, the numeral 5 designatesv streamers extending in all directions from the the base of the ornament which in the present inopposite side edges of said sheet metal band, said stance is in the form of a disc of sheet metal band and streamers being integrally connected,

The ears 6 are adapted to be folded up on a 3. As an article of commerce, an ornament in line substantially forming a cord connecting the knockedvdown form to be set up by the puropposite inner corners of the ears to mount an chaser, comprising, a flat sheet of thin flexible arch-like band 8 which is attached to the ears metal substantially rectangular in shape 'and slit 45 by engagingV the tangs 7 in suitable openings 9. from its opposite ends toward the center thereof The band 8 is formed by a central solid porbut short of the center of said sheet, whereby said tion'of asheet of thin exible metal 10 whose. sheet has an unslit central portion providing a Opposite end POIOnS ae Sht aS at 11 t0 divide band extending transversely across the sheet and the same into a multiplicity of narrow ribbons or a multiplicity of parallel ribbon-like strips ex- 50 streamers 12 Which, When the Ornament iS ySet tending from the opposite side edges of said band 11p, eXenCl haphazaldly fOm the arch band 8 aS to the ends of the sheet, and a base having means illustrated in Figure 1 and have imitation flowers to whichthe opposite ends of said band are at- 12 fixed to their outer ends. 4. The hereindisclosed method of making a table ornament of the character described, which consists in slitting a substantially rectangular piece of vsheet metal from opposite ends toward the center to divide said piece of sheet metal into a plurality of parallel ribbon-like strips at opposite sides of a central unslit portion, bending the sheet transversely so that its unslit portion provides a band substantially in the shape of an arch, attaching the ends of said arched bandA to a base, bending the ribbon-like strips up from said ribbon-like strips.
