Another object of the invention is to provide a mounting" for the eye carrying" device which may bevpermanently securedto the dolls head immediately after the head is molded and before the head. is completely finished;

Another object is to provide a mounting for the eye carrying device which will permit of a vertical adjustment as well as a lateral movement' of the eye carrying device.

In combination with a hollow dolls head having eye socketstherein, a member secured to the interior of the head between the sockets and provided with ears projecting rearwardly therefrom in spaced relation, said ears having relatively Wide elongated slots and restricted openings extending downwardly therefrom, a horizontally disposed shaft rotatably mounted in said wide portion of the slots and having semispherical eyes secured thereto in position to coact with the sockets, a separate element fixed to the head above said member in position to overhang the member and having a longitudinally disposed elongated recess arranged to engage the shaft between the ears for allowing vertical adjustment and maintaining the eyes in their sockets, and a spring means attached to the head independent of the member and adapted to contact with said element to yieldingly hold the element in position between the ears.

In combination with a hollow dolls head having eye sockets therein, a member secured to the interior of the head between the sockets, said member comprising a flat base having rearwardly-extended ears disposed along the vertical side edges thereof, said ears having relatively wide slots and restricted openings extending downwardly therefrom, the lower edges of said ears being curved toward said restricted openings, a horizontally disposed shaft removably mounted in said slots in the ears and having semi-spherical eyes secured thereto in position to coact with the sockets, a separate element having a longitudinally disposed elongated recess arranged to engage the shaft between the ears I for allowing vertical adjustment and maintaining the eyes in their sockets, the lower end of said element being curved rearwardly and downwardly to extend beyond the ears, and a spring means attached to the head independent of the base of the member and adapted to contact with said element to yieldingly hold the element in to the interior of the head between the sockets,
