  • An electric, lamp or similar device comprising a bulb, a base comprising a metal ring portion sealed to the walls of an opening in said bulb and having laterally outwardly extending engagement means and a lug extending inwardly into said bulb and a metal disc sealed to said ring portion through the medium of an insulating collar of plastic material, an energy translation element in said bulb, a pair of leading-in wires each connected at one end to one end ofsaid translation element. the opposite ends of said leading-in wires being attached respectively to said inwardly extending lug and disc portions of said base, an insulating arbor mounted on said lug and extending upwardly in said bulb, and a plurality of support wires mounted on said arbor and engaging portions of said energy translation element.
  • An electric lamp or similar device comprising a bulb, a base comprising a metal terminal ring portion sealed to the walls of an opening in said bulb and having engagement means for mounting said lamp and a metal terminal disc sealed to said terminal ring portion over said opening in said bulb through the medium of an insulating collar of fusible material, said terminal disc constituting the end wall of the bulb, an energy translation element in said bulb, and a pair of leading-in wires each connected at one end to one end of said translation element, the opposite ends of said leading-in wires being attached respectively to said ring and disc portions of said base.
  • An electric lamp or similar device comprising a bulb, a base comprising a metal terminal ring portion sealed to the walls of an opening in said bulb and having engagement means for mounting said lamp and a metal terminal disc sealed to said terminal ring portion over said opening in said bulb through the medium of an insulating collar of fusible material, said terminal disc constituting the end wall of the bulb, an energy translation element in said bulb, and a pair of leading-in wires each connected at one end to one end of said translation element, the opposite ends of said leading-in wires being attached respectively to said ring and disc portions of said base, and at least one support wire engaging a portion of said translation element and having its end embedded in said collar.
