We claim:
1. In a superheater support, means comprising slidable plates for supporting a row oi superheater tubes so that they may move laterally with respect to each other.
2. In a superheater, an outlet header, a row of superheater tubes connected to said header, a support for saidtubes near said header permitting said tubes to move apart as said header expands, and a support for other tubes of said superheater supported by said first named support.
3. In a superheater comprising return bend tubes, 9. support at said return bends, a portion of said support being slidable with respect to the remainder thereof.
4. In a superheater comprising return bend tubes, a support at said retum bends, a portion of said support being slidable with respect to the remainder thereof and sustaining said remainder.
5. In a superheater comprising return bend tubes, a support at said return bends, a portion of said support being slidable with respect to the remainder thereof, and tubes of said superheater extending through said slidable portion oi! said support.
6. In a steam superheater, a gas pass wall formed with two spaced rows of tube openings, a superheater inlet header, a row of superheater inlet tubes extending from the header through the openings of one of said rows into the gas pass, a superheater outlet header, a row of superheater outlet tubes extending from the outlet header through the other row of openings and into the gas pass, and sections movable relatively to each other longitudinally oithe outlet header and constituting that portion of the wall through which the outlet tubes extend and supporting the tubes, there being a plurality of outlet tube openings in some of said sections.
7. In a Iurnace, a baiile support, a plurality of horizontally aligned and relatively movable separate baiile sections slidably hung from the support, a fixed lower section suspended from said sections, and relatively movable groups of superheater tubes passing through the relatively movable sections.
8. In a fluid heater having connected tubes extending across a gas pass, a header, a support for the tubes including a part interfltting with certain of the tubes only so as to be movable in unison therewith and slidable with respect to the remainder of the support and longitudinally of the header, said part having its interfitting and associated tubes extending through openings therein.
9. In combination, superheater tubes conducting steam across a gas pass, a ban'ie having the outlet portions of the superheater tubes extending through and beyond one part and the inlet portions of the tubes extending through and be- 'yond another part, a superheater outlet header spaced from the baii'ie and having the outlet portions connected thereto, and means for connecting the inlet portions 01' the tubes to a source of steam, thefirst part 01' the baiile constituting separate sections relatively movable longitudinally of the outlet header and supporting the outlet portions of the tubes so that some of the tubes may move longitudinally of the header relative to others.
10. In a suspended baflle construction, a plurality of successive sections each having formations so that each section is hooked to the one above it, and fluid heat exchange tubes receiving heat from the iumace, one of said sections consisting of] a plurality of separate parts movable relative to each other and to the other sections with each part so related to the tubes that it is moved by a group of those tubes.
