Obviously, from the foregoing it will be readily seen that an extremely simple, durable, and attractive rear quarter assembly has been provided, which eliminates unsightly seams and does away with reenforcing and back straps. It will also be appreciated that the possibility of the stitching 15 tearing is eliminated, in that the same is securely held between the inner sol and heel in the finished shoe.
