Application September 2, 1933, Serial No. 688,034 7 I v 4 Claims. (Cl.45-9) This invention relates to an extendible top structure for tables, and has for itsobjectto provide, nin a manner as hereinafter set forth, a structure of the class referred to for providing when in a non-extended .position the top of a small console table and when in extended position a card table top.
A further object of the invention is to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, an extend-. 'ible table top structure including a stationary body part, two pairs of side leaves hinged to the latter and two pairs of corner leaves, each pair being hinged to one of the pairs of side leaves, and with said leaves so formed to provide, when the structure is in an extended position, that the several leaves are held firmly in place by male and female joints, and when in a non-extended position'for the end edges -of the side leaves nesting relatively to each other and with the corner leaves being positioned against the inner faces of the. side leaves to which they are hinged to forma top of pleasing appearance for a small console table, and when the side and corner leaves are extended with respect tothe body part, interengaged with the latter and with each other and secured in extended "position providing a card'table top of much greater area than the top for theconsole table. I
To the above ends essentially and to others 0'which may hereinafter appear,-the invention consists of such parts and such combination ofparts which fall within the scope of the invention as clairned.
