v Appiiaasn Jlauagjzj, 1933; seriarNassarss age-containingreceptacle with means for applyingv gas pressure to saidl receptacle, a counter surface, and a surface for supporting drinking` vessels arranged `with and beneath the counter, surlface, together with a structure .comprising areceptacle containing a cooling coiLand vav bosh or sink formed as a unit structure with the cooling coil receptacle, so that the cooling coil and bosh structure is removableasa unit from the frame or cabinet'of the apparatus. Y
A vfurther object of A my invention is'toi provide a beverage-'dispensing apparatus which isl neat' and sightly, from whatever side it may be Viewed, and which may be readily shiftedto various positions on' a floor.1 A
In theaccompanying drawings Figure .-Ir is a plan view of my beveragedispensing apparatus; Figure II isa rear `elevatiorhthereof.; yligurexIII'is a fragmentary cross-*sectionalviw, looking in the. direction of the arrows, taken on the "line III-III of FigureII; FigureIV is aplan View ofLthe sureface vfor receiving drinking Vessels,or workboard,
of the apparatus; Figure V is ari-edge view of theworkboard;l Figure VI isi-a plan view offthe cool` ing coil and boshassembly; andFigure VIII-is aside elevation of the cooling coil-and bosh 'as sembly indicating the assemblyl as mountedin the frame or cabinet of' the apparatus.
Infthe accompanying drawings reference nu'- meral 1 designates :the side walls of the frame or cabinet structure` ofthe apparatus, and reference numeral 2 designates therfront wall yof the cabinet. A cover, or counter member, 3 is formed and dimensioned .to rest upon theside wallsv 1 and front wall 2 of the-cabinet, and has a depending lip or flange 4 arranged to lie outwardly of the front and side walls 1 and 2 to"holdthe.coverv are 'providedwith floors29n and 30, upon which kdrain pan 17 lies, and on which barrel-supporting 195 in position on the front and side walls. y
The interior ci the cabinet is divided into clompartments by a transverse wall 5.v In the compartment 6, shown to the right in'Figures I and II of the drawings, is mounted *the coil box and bosh assembly designated generally by reference numeral 7. This assembly comprises a metal box tween the workboard andthe under' face of the or casing 8 arranged to restvon cleats 9 formed interiorly-.oi 'the compartment. Within the coil -box is a' coil IO-terminating at the rearward or Y operating face of vthe box kin a draw-oiin spigot 12. Carriedponfrearwardfor operating face of coil 6Q box 8 is aI bosh 13,*extending` rearwardly and beneath a spigot 12, A; secondfspigot 14 is also car,- ried by the rearward or operating face of the coil box, and may be suitably connected to `provide freshl rinsingv water. It is understood that coil 65;
box 8 is to be' packed lwith ice around -coil 10. n
A drain connection 15 for the coil box communi- -v Cates Witha drain-16 fromthefbosh. A drain Y pan 17 may be disposed in compartment 6 beneath drainl 16. The provision of -a drain pan is4 desir-v able in'order that connection need not bemade toa permanentdrain: d Y 1 .In'the Aother compartment 18 lof the cabinet, shown to the left'in Figures I and II, is abarrel'- casters;l9a,'andthe rear -wall 20 `is provided'with a legor. legs 21 carryingcasters 21a. PlatformV :19 'may thus be drawnout for' replacement of the beverage-containing keg or barrel 22, andthe gas SQ cylinder 23 connectedwith the barrel. Asshown,
barrel 22 has a suitable connection 24 with cooling'coillO.
Underlying the cover,v or counter, 3 is a work- .board :25,- having a Yportion25ctextending A rearwardly'beyond` thecounter. Workboard 25 is de sirably-l covered withV 'corrugated sheet metal, as shown, and serves as asurface upon which drinking Vessels maybe placed,`ywhilethe .space be# 90 counter providesfoi'ithezneat stowage of ,the drinking vessels. Workboard` 25 is supported in position by Stringer 11 of the cabinet structure, and bya cleat 26 onthe interior surface of front wall 2 of the cabinet. At the end of workboard 25' which fliesadjacent the bosh and coil box the board isprovided with a hooked extension 25h, which lies upon Vandenga'ges a wall member` or support 13a extending upwardly from thebosh.
This extension125b ofthe workboard permits it to 10 drain into the bosh 13. f It should be understood that' both 'the'coilzbox compartment 6, andthe barrel compartment 18,
platform 19 is mounted. In connection with the barrel-supporting structure, it may be noted that leg 21, or its equivalent, compensates for the difference in level between cabinet floor 29 and the surface on which the apparatus as a whole is -holding structurecomprising ajplatforni 19 and 75 rear door 20. At the inner'end of platform 19 are mounted, so that the barrel-supported structure may be moved straight out from the cabinet.
The entire beverage-dispensing apparatus, or bar may be mounted upon casters 2'7, so that it may be readily shifted from place to place. It will be noted that the structure as a Whole is self-contained and is compact, thus being well adapted toinstallation in stores, restaurants or homes. It is also particularly useful for use at fair grounds, carnivals'and the like. The arrangement is such that all the equipment necessary for the stovvage and delivery of a carbonated beverage, such as beer, is contained Within a remarkably small compass. The arrangement is such that in this self-contained unit everything necessary for the dispenser, or
- bar man, is most conveniently arranged. With the gas cylinder 23 and drain pan '17 housed in the cabinet, no connections outside the structure need be made for gas or drainage. Desirably a small'vvater tank is also provided inthe region ofthe coil box lying upwardly of the cooling coil 10 to provide a supply of rinsing Water Within the structure for water spigot 14.
For transportation from place to place, and particularly for use on excursions'and picnics, the structure may be readily disassembled and may bereadily -reassembled at the'place of its use. The cover or counter 3 is readily lifted from the Walls of the cabinet, and the barrel-carrying places it in communication with a keg. Workboardis then liftedl from its position engaging the upper extension of the bosh. The coil box isattached to transverse partition 5, as will be seen in Figure II, by means of a plurality of screws 28. With coil 10 disconnected, and Workboard 25 removed,.it is merely necessary to take out -the screws 28 in order that the entire coil box and bosh assembly may be liftedfrom the 'and the barrel-supporting structure providing a smooth rear door-to hide-the keg or barrel. and gas cylinder, and because of the neat coil box and bosh structure,my apparatus is sightly from the rear as Well asffrom the front. 'It is, therefore, suitable for use in large spaces such as an assembly hall, or ball room, in which it might be moved from place to place, and necessarily viewed from the rear as Well as from the front and sides.
If vit is desired to incorporate one or more of the dispensing units in a long bar, the'cover 3 may be removed, and a longer cover, made to restupon one or more dispensing units may replace the simple unit cover shown.
I claim as my invention;
