To better form a water tight With the above and other objects in view the seal, the inner periphery of the ring is provided invention resides in the combination and arwith an inwardlyextending flange 10,- which fits I rangement of partsashereinafter set forth, shown into an ann l o e 7 i th b tt of t 45 in the d w described and Claimed, it i g recess 6. In the preferred form shown inFig- 10 understood that changes in the precise embodiures l to 3, the annular flange 10 is centrally I ment of the invention may be made within the 1 disposed in relation to. the upper and lower sides scope of what is claimed without departing from of the ring, while in the modified forms shown the spirit of the invention. in Figures 4 and 5, the annular flange loavis .59 In the drawing: r at the upper side of the ring 8, however, the

Figure 2 is a top plan view of the plug. When the plug is forced downwardly into the 55 Figure 3 is an enlarged vertical transverse secdrain opening 4, the ring 8 will flex so that it will conform to the periphery of the drain opening 4. It will also be seen that by allowing the. ring 8 to flex slightly in relation to the plug body 1, it will not work out of the drain opening incident to temperature changes or to any rotation of the body 1. 7
From the above it will be seen that a drainage opening plug is'provided which is formed from two pieces of metal having different characteristics as to shrinkage and the annular ring will conform to off-round shapes of drain openings. This is of particular advantage when it is considered that many of the drain opening rings 6a are at the present time being formed from stampings and castings to eliminate ma-e chine work as far as possible.
esrose The invention having been set forth what is claimed as new and useful is: g
A drainage opening plug comprising a metallic body member having an annular channel in the periphery thereof, a metallic ring in said channel, a clearance between the ring and channel whereby the ring may conform in relation to the body member and a filling opening, said ring being formed from a different metal than the metal of the body member, said ring being v cast in the channel and from a metal having
