Although the foregoing description and the illustration shows the `invention applied to a single conductor cable, it is understood that the application is the same in instances where the cable is composed of a number of conductors.
From. the foregoing description taken inconnection with the accompanying drawing, it will be'readily apparent to those skilled in the art to which an invention of the character described appertains, that I Vprovide novel means for con-v tire diameter of the insulated cable conductor to,

In a pot head ihaving a tubular outlet member, a cable conductorhaving ak portion withinV the tubular outlet member and a terminal member, means for connecting the terminal member with-the cable conductor comprising, a sleeve engageable withthe cable conductor, readily removablemeans for supporting the sleeve in operative position from the tubular outlet member, means on said support cooperating with meansion said-'sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween, meansfor connecting the terminal member with the tubular youtlet member, and means whereby the connection of the terminal member with the tubular outlet `member cooperates with the removable means Yfor supporting the sleeve to wedge the same between the terminal member and the conductor. The combination with a pot head having a tubular outlet member, a cable conductor projectable .through the tubular outlet member and a terminal member, of means for connecting the terminal member with the cable conductor comprising a sleeve engageable with a portion of the cable conductor fromv which the insulation has l been stripped, a support for the sleeve, means on said support cooperating with means on said sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween, said support having an 'aperture slightly larger than the diameterof the bared portionof the cable conductor and `being removable to permit the extension of an insulated portion of the cable beyond the tubular outlet member, means for drawing the terminal member toward the tubular outlet member, and means whereby movement of theV terminal member toward the tubular outlet member wedges the `sleeve between the terminal member and the cable conductor.

means whereby the sleeve is impinged between the terminal member and the cable conductor upon engagement of y the' terminalA member with the outlet member. Y
4. In a device of the character described, an apertured outlet member, anV insulated conductor projectable through the outlet member to facilitate baring of its end,a sleeve engageable over the bared portion of the conductor, a supporting member for the sleeve, means on said support cooperating with means onl said sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween, said supporting member rpartially closing the aperture through theoutlet member and being removable to permit the extension of the full diameter of the conductor through the outlet member, a clamping nut connectible with the outletmember, and means whereby the connection of the clamping nut with the outlet member wedges the sleeve conductor, a supporting member mounted onr'the cap member and partially .closing its aperture to form a support for the yieldable sleeve adjacent the conductor, means onV said support cooperating with means on said sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween, a clamping nut engageable with Vthe cap `member, and means whereby engagement of the clamping nut with the cap member .wedges the yieldable sleeve between Ythe clamping nut and the conductor,
. 6., In combination with a pot head having a tubular bushing, a cable conductor ,extended through the bushing-a cap member carried by. the bushing and having an aperture suiiciently large to receive the full diameter of the cable conductor to permit the same to be'projected beyond the tubular bushing to facilitatebaring its end, a yieldable sleeve engageable with the bared end of the cable conductor, a member supported bythe cap member and forming a support for the Vyieldable sleeve adjacent-the cable conductor, means on said support cooperating with means on said sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween, a clamping member having a bore adapted to receive the yieldable sleeve and being threaded onto the cap member, and means whereby the threading of the clamping member onto the cap member Wedges the yieldable sleeve between the clamping member and the cable con-` ductor.
7. In a device of the character described, a tubular member, a cap member carried by the tubular member and having an opening forming substantially a continuation of the bore in the tubular member, a conductor within the tubular member and projectable through the cap member opening to facilitate baring of its end porl tion, a sleeve engageable with the bared end portion of the conductor, a member partially closing the opening through the cap member and supporting the sleeve from the cap member, means on said support cooperating with means on said sleeve to prevent relativeV rotation therebetween and terminal means cooperating with the last mentioned member to Wedge the sleeve between it and the conductor whereby the vconductor is anchored to the tubular member and convenient means are provided for electrically connecting a lead-in conductor with the said conductor.
8. In a device of the character described, a threaded cap having a port therethrough, a disc member'detachably supported on the outer end f of the cap and having a boss projecting into said port and having an opening therethrough to accommodate a cable, a clamping bushing` supported from said disc member outwardly -of'the cap and having a tapered Vconical face, and a nut member having a threaded engagement with the cap and having a tapered conical recess, the walls of vwhich engage said clamping bushing to compress the same between said nut member and said cable to form an electrical connection.
