My present invention relates to advertising devices and is desi to its use as a display device or display cabinet for use in shops and storeswherein the things 5 advertised are arranged for sale.

Certain high grade household articles, especially food products, are advertised extensively and at great cost, these advertisements frequently occupying a full page and sometimes a double page in widely circulated periodicals and magazines. One purpose of the present invention is to provide means for displaying copies of these advertisements in associationv with the goods so as to call particular attention to them and to the supply of the article as provided for sale. One the article itself with the picture and the description in the advertisement. Moreover it calls attention to the advertisement at a time when the customer and the goods are in that relationship where a sale may result from the impression made by the advertisement. The psychological advantage of this should be apparent.

An object of the invention therefore is to provide a display device which is adapted for use in displaying copies of signs or magazine advertisements and in displaying the article advertised in association with the advertisement of it; and also in proximity to a supply of the goods ready for sale.

A further object is to provide in a display cabinet of this character novel means for lighting the advertisement and article either by direct or indirect light and by means of concealed lights.

A further general object is to provide a cabinet so constructed that the cabinet itself will assist in centering attention on the things on display within it and the supply of such goods for sale.

In order to have a cabinet more adaptable for various uses I prefer to make it of upper and lower sections 1D and 11, the upper section being so constructed as to iit any suitable sockets or guiding elements on the top of the lower section.
