The cabinet is of rectangular 'form and, may be of any desired length, width and height, but preferably the length will befa foot and a half, its height'onefoot and' i t's width substantially corresponding to its height. It is to be understood that there is to be no limitation as to the dimensions 6f the cabinet.

Thecabinet includes a body part 1 formed ofan outer, an intermediate and aninner section 2, 3 and t respectively. The sections 2 andt are formed of sheet metal, and the section 3 of heat-insulating material of greater thickness than the other sections- Eachseci ei wall and, a pair of'side walls. The sections 2, 3 and4 in-the front walls thereof have aligning cutouts, as at 5, 6 and 7 respectively to provide an opening. The walls of the sections 2, 4 at the top thereof are connected together by a metallicrim 8 to provide a flat edge 9. Therear end of casing 13 is secured against the front face of partition 10, the'1'atter closing such end. The casing is alsos'ecuredtojthe edges of the cutouts of the sections 2, 4. The casing 13 provides a compartment 14 for receiving the cubes of butter. The-compartment 11 is I containinglthe cubes 'of'iQand the IQQ upper end of the partment 12 is adapted to receive a refrigerant to surround the casing 13.

The front end of the casing 13 is closed by an insulated metallic, downwardly swinging door 15, hinged at its bottom as at 16 to the front wall of section 2 below cutout 5. The door 15 is formed at its front with a lateral flange 17 which abuts the outer face of the front wall of section 2 when the door is closed. The door when closed extends into the front end of casing 13 and acts as a closure for the entrance or outer end of compartment 15.

Arranged within the lower portion of compartment 11 is a removable perforated false bottom 18 spaced above bottom 19 of such compartment. The bottom 18 supports the ice cubes above bottom 19 to provide a drain space 19.. Extended forwardly from the partition 10 is a support 20. A removable, insulated metallic closure 21 is provided for the open top of compartment 12 and which is formed with a lateral flange 22 seated on edge 9 and support 20. Arranged within the compartment 12 at the front of the lower portion thereof is a filter member-23. Communicating with compartment 12 is a drain cock 24:- therefor having its inner end opening into the space provided by member 23. Extending from compartment 11, through compartment'12 and attached to a drain cook 25 is a drain pipe 26 for compartment 11. I

The side Walls 27, 28 of compartment 14 have the inner face of each thereof provided with a set of superposed, spaced combined guiding and supporting elements 29. The elements 29 on one wall aligning with the elements 29 on the other wall. The elements 29 extend from the partition 10 to a point inwardly of the front end of casing 13 to provide a clearance for door 15 when the latter is shut. Mounted upon each pair of aligning elements 29 is a slidable cubed butter carry ing tray 30 provided at a point between the transverse median and outer end with a transverse rib 31 forming a stop for the butter cubes and also preventing ones fingers touching the cubes on the action of removing a tray from compartment 14. That part 32 of the tray extending inwardly from rib 31 is for placing the butter cubes thereon. That part 33 of the tray extending outwardly from rib 31 provides a handle or grip portion. The part 32 is formed with upstanding flanges 34 at the sides thereof.

The door 15 is provided with a latch 35 for detachably maintaining it closed. The compartment 14 is water tight.

The trays '30 are mounted in a manner to permit the ready withdrawal of a selected tray and constructed to enable a cube of butter to slide off therefrom without the cube being handled by one.

The arrangement ofcompartment 11, rearwardly of compartment 12 permits of the employment of the ice cubes to assist in cooling compartment 13. The ice cubes can be readily withdrawn by a pair of tongs from compartment 11 and deposited in the glass or tumbler which is to be used by the guest. The butter cubes are not only preserved by the ice cubes, but also by the refrigerant in compartment 12, and such refrigerant is to be arranged to envelop casing 12 What I claim is 1. A service cabinet for ice cubes and butter cubes comprising a structure provided with means forming parallel independent front and rear vertically disposed compartments having their entrances at the tops thereof and a horizontally disposed compartment having its entrance at its outer end, the entrance of the rear compartment being disposed at right angles to the entrance of the horizontal compartment, said horizontal compartment being surrounded by said front compartment and extending at right angles to said rear compartment, said front coinpartment for storing a refrigerant to surround said horizontal compartment, said rear compartmentfor storing ice cubes and being permanently open at its entrance for the removal of ice cubes, a pairof shiftalole closures disposed at right angles to each other, one for the entrance of the front compartment and the other for the entrance of the horizontal compartment, and butter cube holding trays slidably mounted in said horizon tal compartment and removable therefrom through the entrance of the latter.
