In operation, when the invention is used as a menu, asillustrated intlie drawing, 'seiect-ions are made from the items printed or otherwise placed upon. the card A, indicators 9 may be selectedlaccording to the indicia a thereon and engaged-by the thumb of the left hand, as illustraied in Figure 3, and withdrawn from the lateral slots 3 into the longitudinal slot 2 whereupon the indicator 9 can be biought opposite one of the items on" the card l and passed intothe lateral slot/7 opposite the said item and, upon being pressed inwardly toward thecard i will en gage the top of: the tongues 6, previou'sly referred to. holding the indicator 9 firinlyin place until ithas been dislodged bymanual effort. Obviously, for example, if the party I i 01 customers is composed of five members, an
indicator 9 bearing the indicia a, which is the numeral 2, can be placed opposite the item Baked ham, which will indicate. that two ofthis item are desired, and another of the indicators 9 bearing the numeral 33 can be placed opposite the item Hamburger, which willindicate that three of the lattcr'item are "desired by the party. In otherwords, the quantity of each item selected on the card a by theparties'ordering may be indicated by placingopposite thereto one i of the numbered indicators Qinthe manner abovei'eterred to. c v a By particular reference to Figures 2 and 5. it will be seen that the square shank portion Vb of the indicatorst) is of such length asto allow the latter to extend beyond the under surface of the mountin l a sutiicieiitdistance to enable the semi spherical' head of the ll'lCllCfltOI 9 to lJO'fOICQCl upoirthe tongues as illustrated part cularly in Figure 2, and
frictionally engage the latter to hold the indicator 9 in position in the slot 7 until it has been removed therefrom. Figure 5 illustrates one of the indicators 9 in normal position in one of the slots 3,-while the other indicator 9' is shown in position in one of the slots 7 in frictional engagement with one of the tongues 6L The indicator 9 is held within the slots 1, 3, and 7 by means of a washer c bradded, or otherwise secured to the lower end of the As apparent in Figure 1, sufficient space may be provided at either end of the invention for advertising purposes thereby providing al novel advertising medium for coin modit-ies suchas foods, drinks and confections. V
7 As previously pointed out the card l may be inserted by sliding the bottom end of the latter; into crimp 5 along the edge of the mounting 1 and beneath the tongues 6, which latter are arranged along the edge of the mounting 1 opposite to the crimp 5 and downward untilthe bottom edge of the card i is seated behind the clip 8.-
