THREAD GUIDE HOLDER Filed Aug. 7,1951
m ivc @gg Patented Aug. 9, 1932 PATENT OFFICE CARL SCHELLER, F LEIIPZIG, GERMANY THREAD GUIDE HOLDER Application filed August 7, 1931, Serial No. 555,804, and in Germany August 26, 1930.
The object of the present invention is to produce a device whereby the thread guides of gold braid machines and the like can be easily applied to and readily adjusted on the supporting rod, and the invention consists 1n the provision of a thread guide holder comprising a boss divided into two parts adapted for lateral application to the supporting rod,
the two parts being formed with overlapping The thread guides of gold braid or like masupporting rod, one of said parts being notched to form a fork, the other part being formed with a tongue adapted to enter said fork, a set screw passing through the fork members and through the tongue, and a hol- 55 low stem on one part for the reception ofthe thread guide.
CARL SCI-HELLER.
chines are mounted in holders whereby they 7 are adjustably secured to a supporting rod it.
According to the invention each holder comprises a boss having a bore 9 for the reception of the supporting rod 7L and being divided into two parts a and 7) adapted for lateralapplication to the rod. The part a carries a stem 0 provided with a bore 6 for the reception of the thread guide, the latter being secured to the stem by means of set screws f. The part b of the boss is hinged at Z to the part a and both parts are formed with circumferentially overlapping portions through which a set screw is, provided with a milled head i, passes. The screw serves at the same time to hold the parts a and I) together and to secure them in adjusted position to the supporting rod.
The construction of the overlapping portions may be varied according to requirements. In Figs. 1 and 2 the free end of the part a is adapted to overlap the free end of the part Z). In the construction according to Figs. 3 and 5 the part a is formed with a the part b.
I claim: A thread guide holder for gold braid machines and the like, comprising a boss divided into two parts for lateral application to a tongue m adapted to enter a recess a made in
