IMPROVEMENT IN BREAD-CUTTERS.

Figure 1 shows a plan of the machine. Fig. 2 is a section through it. Fig. 3 shows the machine folded up. Fig. 4 is the knife.
The frame consists of a flat board, A, hinged by the pins a to the uprights E. These uprights are connected by the cross-bar H, and are slotted at c, to .form a guide for the knife B. The knife B has a pin, b, at the end,
which is passed through the enlargement at c. This pin prevents the withdrawal of the knife while cutting the loaf. D is the guide, adjustable by the screws d, which compress the guide against the spring 6. The distance of the guide from the board A regulates the the thickness of the slice to he cut from the loaf K.
This folding characteristic makes the machine more portable and convenient for packing away or hanging up on a nail by the hole 9.
I claim- 1. The combination of the board A, hinged to the slotted uprights E, as and for the purpose herein described.
2. The combination of the board A, hinged to the slotted uprights E, and the knife B, as and for the purpose herein described.
