JOHN G. HAMME SQQFFDES" mor vns, row-A, SIZE mnn nnn HOLDER i 7 Application led November 4, 1930. SeriaLN p: 4931435;
This invention relates to a holder fory'a' customer in inspecting the garments is. not label, and isiparticularl'y adapted for 'emadvised as t'o'the' section of the'rod upon ployment with the size marker employed in which garments of the" desired size be clothing stores for-designating thesizes of f und. I
"6 garments which areihung from suspension According to the present invention, alabel 55 rods. f holder is provided which may be mounted One of th-e'objects of the present invention on the suspension rod, and which serves. as is to provide verysimple and compact con an indicator to give the 'si'zes'of garments lostruction of a holder which maybe adju'sted cat'ed adj acent'a respective faceof the holder;-

' garments are wrongly replaced. Further, the Cards Gf'D "may 'then be slippedinto the 106 i opening left by the slot 18 at the top between the bridges 17. Thus the card D may have the size marking 36 thereon as shown in Figure 3, while the card C may have another size marking to indicate that the garment H on the hanger 11A in Figure 8 is of a different size.
It will be noted that the cards are prevented from dropping downward beyond a predetermined position by their engagement with the infolded bottom tabs 20, andfrom horizontal movement between the frames 15, 16 by the infolded end tabs 19. Further, the bridges 17 assure the cards, in addition to their own usual frictional engagement in the holders, against falling out if the holder should be acidentally rocked about the axis of the suspension rod 10.
Further, the frames have windows therein of a large size and thus display the cards fully: and also permit the direct engagement of the thumb andfore'finger of a clerk for the removal of the cards when it is desired to change the indications given by a particular holder.
It is obvious that the inventionis not limited to the form of invention illustrated, but that it may be modified in many ways within the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described the invention, what Iclaim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is V 1. A label holder comprising a pair of apertured frames, each frame having a foot at one edge thereof and inwardly directed label re- 7 taining portions on other edges thereof, and an attaching member rigidly connected to the feet of both said frames for maintaining them ata' predetermined distance and including mans for attaching the holder to a support.
2, A label holder comprising a pair of apertured sheet metal frames, each having a foot at one edge, said frames being integrally joined at the edges opposite said foot, and an attaching member rigidly connected to the feet of both said frames, and including means for attachingtheholder to a support.
3. A label holder comprising a pairof apertured sheet metal frames, each having a foot at its lower edge, said frames being spaced apart to receive the label and connected integrally together by bridge portions extending between the top edges thereof, and an attaching member rigidly connected to the feet of both said frames and including means for attaching the holder to a support.
4, A label holder comprising a pair of apertured sheet metal frames which are parallel and spaced apartto r'eceiv'e'the label, and an attaching member rigidly connected to said frames and including a curved portion for attaching the holder upon a suspension rod.
5. A label holder comprising a pair of aperturedsheet metal frames which are parallel 5 and spacedapart to receive the label, and a curved resilient sheet metal attaching member rigidly connected to said frames and adapted to embrace a suspension rod whereby to support the holder.
6. A label holder comprising a pair of vertical apertured sheet metal frames located at a predetermined distance apart, each having its side edges inwardl directed whereby to form a receptacle for t1 e label so that the two sides of the contents of the receptacle are visible-throughthe apertures of the frames, and an attaching member secured at the bottom edges of said frames.
7. A label holder as in claim 6 in which portions of the'lower edges are inwardly directed to form a bottom for said receptacle.
8. A label holder comprising a pair of sheet metal frames having oppositely directed feet at their bottom edges and being integrally connected by bridge portions at the top edges, and a sheet metal attaching member having one portion fixedly connected to said feet to hold the'frames in spaced relationship, and including a curved portion adapted to embrace a suspension rod whereby to support the holder.
9. A label holder comprising a pair of apertured frames connected integrally together by bridge portions extending between the top edges thereof, and an attaching member connected to said frames at the bot-toms thereof whereby to hold the frames in predetermined relative positions, said member including means for attaching the holder to a support.
In testimony whereof, I affix my signature.
JOHN o. HAMMES.
