Any suitable speed reducing gearing may constitute the connection B between the rotor drive and controlling element C. I do not intend to be limited to any particular speed reduction or to the employment of speed reducing gearing as a connection between the motor drive and the controlling element. My invention primarily resides in theprovision of a controlling element having a plurality of positions which, during its movement, will maintain the pumping unit in operation, while in one of its positions, and which will automatically stop the pumping unit, when another position is reached.
Various modifications and alterations of the various parts and mechanisms described may be had without departing from the scope of the invention.
I claim 1. The combination with liquid feeding apparatus including a pump, a motor and a circuit for said motor, of a control for stopping said pump, after a predetermined operation, having means for opening said motor circuit, said means including a spring pressed rotating member, a drive between said member and said motor, a contact on said memberv for opening said motor circuit after a predetermined rotation of said member, and' means for disengaging said member from said drive to reset said contact to circuit closing'position.
2. The combination with liquid feeding apparatus including a pump, a motor and a circuit for said motor, of a control for stopping said pump, after a predetermined operation, having means for opening said motor circuit, said means including a rotating member,
a drive between said member and said motor,
acontact on said member for opening said motor circuit after a predetermined rotation of said member, and meansfor disengaging said member from said drive to reset said contact to circuit closing position.
3. The combination with liquid feeding apparatus including a cuit for said motor, of a control for said pump having means for opening said motor circuit after a predeterminedoperation of said pump including a relatively fixed contact and a rotating contact engaging said fixed contact during a portion of its rotation and disengaging thereafter to open said motor circuit, and means for resetting said rotating contact to close said motor circuit.
4. The combination with liquid feeding apparatus including a pump, a motor and a circuit for said motor, of a control for said pump having means for opening said motor circuit after a predetermined operation of said pump including a rotating clutch member in driving relation with said motor, a contact rotated by said member, a second contact engaging said rotating contact during a portion of its rotation, and means for tern porarily disengaging said rotating clutch member from,
