IMPROVEMENT IN HARVESTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 184,784, dated November 28, 1876; application filed 'August 29, 18 76.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN F. KINGWILL, of Chicago, countyof Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Harvesters, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
My invention relates to harvesters of the .Marsh class and the object thereof is, mainly,
to prevent short and medium grain from bein g thrown by the reel upon the back part of the platform, and clear over the same, thus saving much grain, and also avoiding the clogging of the lower back corner of-elevator. It also somewhat retards the heads of the grain, which have always a tendency to go up faster than the butts, and causes the grain to be delivered to the binders more compactly and in better shape, which is especially important where an automatic binder is used.
