This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in garment forms, and more particularly to forms for protecting laundered garments.

The principal object of this invention over my co-pending application Serial No. 500,649, filed December 6, 1930, is to provide a garment form having means for protecting the collar.

Other important objects and advantages of the invention will be found in the following specification and claim.

In the drawings Figure 1 represents a top plan view of one form of the invention.

Fig. 2 represents a top plan view of a second form of the invention adapted for full length shirts.

Fig. 3 is a top plan view of the third form of the invention.

Fig. 4 represents a top plan View of the fourth form of the invention.

Fig. 5 represents a top plan view of the fifth form of the invention.

Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen in Fig. 1, that the form is constructed of a sheet of relatively stiff material, as denoted by numeral 5, and consisting of the central section 6 and the wings 77 extending therefrom. The section 6 is divided from the wings 7 7 by the scored lines 8, along which the wings are to be folded when the garment has been placed thereon.

Numeral 9 represents indentures in the upper corners of the wings 77 for accommodating the sleeves of the shirt. It can be seen in Fig. 1, that the section 6 is substantially shorter than the wings 7 at one end so as to accommodate the collar strips 10, which is of arcuate shape and connected to the section 6 by the reduced connector 11.

It can be seen that the shirt is assembled on this form with the strip 10 engaging in the collar thereof and with the sleeves 9 disposed over the indentured portions 9. The wings 77 are now folded inwardly, one upon the other, and in this manner, the garment is ready for transmittal to its consignee.

the invention has the form first folded on the lines 8, after which the transverse lines 14 are folded, to bring the flap 12 up against the back of the form.

Fig. 3 shows another form of the invention which consists of a substantially rectangular shaped" sheet 5 having its upper corners cut away as at 9 to provide sleeve receiving indentures. The upper intermediate portion of the sheet 5 is cut away as at 7 to provide an indenture for receiving the collar strip 10 which is connected by the connector 11a to the sheet 5 proper.

In this form of the invention, the same is not folded, the shirt being assembled thereon and buttoned.

Fig. 4 shows another form of the shirt, the same consisting of a relatively narrow section 6a with a collar strip 1011 at its upper end connected to the upper end of the section 6a by the reduced connector 11?). In this form, the strip 10a is inserted into the collar, while the sleeves of the garment are folded behind the section Go.

Fig. 5 shows a form which is substantially like the form shown in Fig. 4, excepting that the same is provided with a lower section 66 separated from the section 6a by the scored lines 8. This lower portion of the section 6?; is to be folded rearwardly of the section 6a with the shirt thereon.

Nhile the foregoing specification sets forth the invention in specific terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed hereinafter.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is A garment form of the character described comprising a rectangular-shaped sheet of material, the upper corner portions of which are reduced toprovide sleeve receivin indentures, said sheet bein provided wit an indenture at the upper intermediate portion of the same, and a. collar form arranged within the last-mentioned indenture and connected to 1116 said sheet. h I ffi testimony w ereo a x m signature.
