My invention relates to an improved reilector construction, the object being to provide a simple, inexpensive, easily assembled and yet strong and durable construction.
In the accompanying drawings- Fig. -1 is a side elevation, partly in section, on the line 1 1 of Fig. 2 of my improved reflector;
when the sections are assembled, therebyy stiening and assisting in preventing collapse ofthe same,vand further preventing one section from shifting on the other. In the section 2, I provide a. plurality of reliector elements 3 3. At the back of each of these elements is an enlarged portion 3 These reflector elements stand in openings 1n the section 2 which are preferably symmetri cally disposed therein. The size of each of these openings is sullicient to permit the frontl of its reflector element to pass through, the enlarged portion 3'* of the element being too large to pass through and therefore remaining in the inside of the housing formed by the sections 1 2 when assembled. Within the housing, I provide suitable means to hold each ofy these re-lector elements snugly in place against rattling. One suitable means may comprise one or more soft pad pieces indicated at 4, which practically till the space in the housing and exclude dust. These pad pieces may be of thick felt or the like and therefore act as a cushion to absorb shock, tending to prevent breakage should one or more units be struck. 5 is a bracket of any suitable construction, the same being in the form of a strap as shown in the drawings. This bracket issecured to the back section 1 of the housing by devices which perform a double function. Each of these devices comprises a body portion 6 which has a stud extension '7 at therear and a screw threaded bore at the front. Each body 6 performs the function of a spacer between the sections 1 and 2 to hold them against central collapse. Holes are provided in the rear section 1 to permit the stud portions 7 to go through and engage the bracket 5 in any desired way A as by upsetting the ends of the studs. 8 8

secured together, all rattling or looseness caused by vibration is prevented. Should there be occasion to replace one or more of the reiector elements, the screws 8 8 may be removed and the outer section 2 may be withdrawn from the section 1.

A reflector, comprisin a housing formed of two substantially at sections offset telescopic flanges at the edges thereof, said flanges being corrugated to strengthen said sections and' also to prevent one section from turning on the other, one of said sections having a plurality of openings therein, lass reflector elements in sald openings, the ont end of each of said elements being hemispherical and the rear end of each of said elements having an integral glass flan e thereon, the anges on said elements being held between said sections, and means for clamping said sections together.
