iv Well adapted to the purpose forwhich. it is.
designed. c .n y
vWith the above and numerous other objects in view as will appearfasthe description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel la Yfeatures of constructin,-and in the combina- A tion and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described'and claimed.
I-n'thedrawings: s vf .Y I Y Figure 1 isa .top plan view of the scraper 'showing the tractor,` .v ,o Figure Qfis a side elevation of the scraper showing the same applied. c. y y
Figure 3 is a sectional view taken substantially on the line 3 3 of Figure 2, s l f Figure 4 is a top plan viewfof one end of the scraper,
' Figure 5 is a fragmentary section taken substantially on the line 75-57l ofy Figure 3Q and 5 f o Figure 6 isa sectional View taken substantially on the line 6-46 of Figure 5. y
, Referring. to the drawings vindetail7 itwill be seen that numerals *5 denote the wheels of 4thejtyper of tractors wherein the front wheels are disposed closely togetherbeing mounted on a dirigible axle 6jina housing.l y My improved scraper is formed froin'a ysingle sheet.. of resilient metalto forma straight attaching .end portion8 from which extends upwardly'and forwardly anarm 9 v whichy merges in# to azjbightportion'1()KVV curved forwardlyanddownwardly terminating indownwardly v'and rearwardly inclined ,45 YScraper bladeswhich diverge downwardly wheels yfragmentarily of the from each other'and are denoted by numerals 11. The'ends of these blades 11 engage with kthe peripheries of the wheels 5 to the inside kof th-e ilanges thereon. In the end 8 there is formed an opening 12 through which ex 50 tends a screw 14 to engage in the bottom of thehousin'g'?. A block 15 is mounted on the end 8 forwardly of the housing 7 and is adjustably held in place by a bolt and nut s lpassing through the block and throughy'f an elongatedslot 18 in the end 8. By yshovn ing this block up against the axle housing and tightening the nut on the bolt the scraper is rigidly secured to thek axle structure.
` It is thought that the construction, utlloof ity and vadvantages of this invention will now be quite apparent to those skilled in this art yWithout av more detailed description thereof.
yThe presentr embodiment of the invention has been described in detail merely for the Apurposes of yexemplification since iny actual "practice it attains the features ofL advantage enumeratedas desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description. f v
It will be apparent that changes in the details of constructiomsand in thecombination andarrangement of parts maybe resortedV` to without'departing from the spirit or scope of the invention 'as hereinafter claimed or 75 sacrificing anyof its advantages.
Having thus describedmy invention, what rI claim as new is :-l
