The 'body portionof each'bracket 42 is provided with two side ears 44 and that portion of the bracket with'the ears is set in a correspondingly shaped recess in the end of theV bodyv whereby, so long as thebracket :is in engage- 'ment with the body l0, it is locked'against vertical and lateral movement, thereon. `It will be observed tha-tithe receptacle is of extreme simplicity of construction and that all unnecessary screws and other parts have been eliminated thereby conducing to economy of manufacture which is a consideration of great importance inl devices of this char- 7o acter. l Y
Although we have shown our invention as embodied, in a receptacle having two pairs of contactV slots or openings to accommodate plugs with tandem and parallel blades,it is to be understood that this form o the invention is merely illustrative and that the invention may be embodied in either single receptacles with but'one pair of contact slots or in duplex receptacles adapted to receive simultaneously a plurality of plugs.
