Referring to the drawing in detail, it will partly in section of one be noted that the rolls are'used in pairs,
and are journaled in a suitable holder 10 which may vary in construction without departing from the inventive idea. In accordance with the present invention each roll includes a hollow wooden core 11 which is covered by rubber 12, the latter being formed with a spiral groove 13 throughout its length,
thereby defining spaced annular rest porut any possibility of doing injury to the v fabric.

What is claimed is:
A pair of temple rolls, a holder in which said rolls are journaled side by side, each roll including a hollow core and a covering of rubber therefor, the covering of one roll having a right hand spiral roove'formed therein, the other covering iavin a left hand spiral groove formed therein, said grooves defining each covering with uniformly spaced annular disposed portions, and teeth formed on the peripheries of said annular portions for the purpose specified.
