This invention relates generally to containmilk bottles and sanitary closures therefor.

Milk is peculiarly subject to contamina tion by dirt, and germs carried by dirt. It is therefore of great importance in the inter-' est of public health that every measure possible be taken to preclude access of germs or dirt to milk. Much dirt is likely to gain access to milk through the handling of the bottle by the milk man, and servants and waiters who are not careful to keep their hands clean, or who have no facilities for keeping them clean; One object of my invention is to provide a bottle of peculiar form at the neck so that it may be wrapped or covered with a paper jacket or sleeve, such jacket being held in place by the stopper or cap and said cap or stopper being removable by the act of removing the jacket. Other objects will appear from the disclosure herein.

What I claim is:

I 1. In combination with a container having a recessed cap seat, a closure and neckprotecting means for said container consisting of a flexible sleeve fitting on the neck of the container and projecting at its upper marginv over said seat, and a distinct cap seated in 'ng said upper margin,
