This invention relates to underdriven exprove the basket mounting and riving means in a manner to improve the lubrication system and enable the basket to be readily removed from and applied to its supporting parts.
In the drawings, Fig. 1 1s a sectional elevation through one arrangement embodying the invention; Fig. 2 is a detail sectional elevation of the roller bearing on a larger scale; and Fig. 3is a section as in the horizontal I plane of line 3-3, Fig. 1.
' The relatively stationary curb 1 is suspended by three rods 2 from the tops of posts or' columns 3 with universal mountings 4 at top and bottom, all to permit precession, as is usual. At one side said curb has a bracket 5 to support suitable driving means, such as the able post, pillar or spindle 7 around which- 5 the basket turns.

At the bottom of the spindle the curb carries an annular shield or guard 18 (Fig. 2)
entering an opening in the basket bottom. Lubricant is supplied to spindle bearings through the 1plugged opening 19, traveling down along e spindle past the bearings to its bottom, when it is held from escape by said guard.
Attached to the bottom of the basket is a pulley 20 around which travel drive ropes or elts '21 which pass through a curb opening 1ato the motor pulley 22.- Said pulley 20 is of'driven form and also serves as the brake drum, its inner surface being gripped by suitable expanding friction brake mechanism, marked generally 23 and including an actuator 24 operated by a shaft 25 having an arm 26 below the curb where it may be connected to any suitable controlling or operating mechanism such as the lever 23a. The details of the brake mechanism however may be of any suitable or preferred description and form no part of the invention and have been more or less conventionally illustrated in Fig. 3.

Having described my invention, I claim:
In an extractor, a frame, a curb frame, a
curb carried thereby and having a-n upwardly dished bottom with a central opening, universal supporting linkage between said c and curb frame, a hollow boss secured to said bottom at said central opening and provided with a lateral belt drive opening, a shaft support carried by said boss and projecting up- .said curb, a basket, a central sleeve carried thereby, upper and lower bearing structures between said sleeve and said shaft, a pulley secured to the bottom of saidbasket and surrounding said shaft support, a motormount ed on the curb frame, and a belt drive between said motor and said pulley.
