What is claimed asnew is z:-

A road marker embodying aplurality of elements each embodying` a resilient block like body portion, the upper surface, being substantially flat, a non-resilient plate upon' which the block rests, the lower surface of the block and said plate being secured together7 the edge of the plate being substantially flush with the lateral Wall of the' block, an anchor member connected With-thek plate and depending therebelow, the'proximate faces of adjacent elements abutting, a. connecting member extending across the joint between adjacent elements, and means securing the ISO connecting member against the exposed face of the said plate.

A road marker embodying a plurality of elements each embodying a resilient body portion, a non-resilient plate upon which the said body portion rests, the lower face of the said body portion and the plate being secured together, the edge of the plate being substantially flush with the lateral edge of the said body portion, an anchor bolt connected with and depending below the plate, said bolt being threaded, the proximate faces of adjacent elements abutting, a tie member extending across the joint between adjacent sections and engaging said bolts, and nuts on the respective bolts for securing the said tie member in position and for clamping it against the lower face of the said plate for securing the said elements together.

A road marker embodying a plurality of elements each embodying a resilient body portion, a non-resilient plate upon which the said body portion rests, the lower face of the said body portion and the plate being secured together, the edge of the plate being substantially flush with the lateral edge of the said body portion, an anchor bolt connected with and depending below7 the plate, said bolt being threaded, the proximate faces of adjacent elements abutting, a tie member extending across the oint between adjacent sections and engaging said bolts, nuts on the respective bolts for securing thesaid tie member in po-l sition and for clamping it against the lower face of the said plate for securing the said elements together, and an additional anchor element connected with the said bolt.

A road marker embodying a plurality of block like body portions adapted to be embedded in a pavement with their upper faces substantially flush with the surface of the pavement, an anchor member connected with and depending below each of the blocks, and a fastening member extending across the .f bottoms of adjacent blocks and engaging adjacent anchor members for securing the marker elements together.

A road marker embodying a plurality of block like body portions adapted to be embedded in a pavement with their upper faces substantially flush with the surface of the pavement, an anchor member connected with and depending below each .of the blocks, a fastening member extending across the bottoms of adjacent blocks, said fastening member having apertures therethrough through which the respective anchor members pass, and means engaging the said anchors for clamping the said fastening member against the lower face of said body portion for securing the marker elements together.
7 A road marker embodying a plurality of elements each embodying a resilient block like body portion, a non-resilient plate upon which the block rests, the lower surface of the block and said plate being secured together, the edge of the plate being substantially flush with the lateral wall of the block, an anchor member connected with the plate and depending therebelow, and a connecting member below the elements and extending from one element to the next adjacent element and secured to one of the anchor members of each of the elements.
8. A road marker embodying a plurality of elements each embodying a resilient body portion, a non-resilient plate upon which the block rests, the lower surface of the block and thesaid plate being secured together, the edge of the plate being substantially flush with the lateral wall of the block, an anchor member connected with the plate and depending therebelow, a connecting member below the elements and extending from one element to the next adjacent element, and
means securing the connecting member against the exposed face of the said plate.l
9. A road marker element embodying a resilient body portion, a plate secured to the bottom of said body, an anchor member connected with the plate and depending therebelow, all of said parts being adapted to be embedded in a pavement with the upper surface of the resilient body 'substantially flush with the surface of the adjacentportion of the pavement, and means engaging an anchor member of adjacent elements for tying them together, the said means being disposed below the said elements and also embedded in the pavement.
