otherwise well adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.
With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be 15 hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 is a front elevation of the mechanism embodying the features of my invention,
Figure 2 is a side elevation thereof,
Figure 3 is a side elevation of one of the trays,
Figure 4: is a top plan view thereof,
Figure 5 is an end elevation, V
Figure 6 is a detail view of one of the sprockets, and c Figure 7 is a perspective view of a portion of one of the chains.
Referring to the drawing in detail it will 30 be seen that the letter F denotes generally a base stand which comprises a plurality of legs 5 rising from caps 6 forming seats and having elbows 7 at their upper ends. Four' way couplings 8 are anchored to the elbows 7 5 and have end pipe rods 9 therebetween and side pipe rods 10 therebetween.
Chains 20 are trained over these sprockets milk is represented by a bottle.
Vertical pipe rods 11 rise from the couplings 8 and:
'18and certain links of the chains are provided with eyes 21. A'plurality of elongated trays 22 for bottles have brackets 23 at the ends thereof with outwardly disposed-t-runnions 243' ournalled in the eyes 21 so that these trays are always disposed in uprightpo'sition.
On the bottom shaft 17 at one end thereof there is mounted a drum 25. Brake'band sections 26: are disposed circumjacent the drum 25 being pivotally mountedas at 27 on a bracket 28 on one ofthe pipe rods 11.
-A lever 28 is pivotally mounted as at29 to one free end ofone of the sections 26 and has 'an extension 30 anchored to the other sect1on; These sections 26 at their ends have ears 31 and a spring 32 is disposed-about "the extension 30 between the ears 31 to hold them spaced thereby holdingtheflband sections 26 normally in a released'position.
.On a cros's bracket85 between a'pair of the mechanism or hold the .mechanism against rotation.
This rotary bottle holder and display rack: may be used in many ways. Thus the pocket may holdbottles of milk which are samples of patrons milk. Each patron that delivers Daily samples of milk are taken from each portion and a small portion is taken from the delivery and put in these bottles to which a preservative "is added and this is done daily for a period of a week or insome instances two weeks. i a I hen the composite sample is tested for butter fat the dairy is able to'estimatc the V worth and valueof thep articular milk. This mechanism may be operated in any suitable manner. It will also be seen that the same. may be used fordisplay purposes in grocery stores and the like. The trays are removable and may be shaped to accommodate any de sired goods.
It is thought that the construction, opera tion, utility and advantages of this invention Will now be quite apparent to those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof.
The present embodiment ofthe invention has been disclosed in considerable detail merely for the purposes of exemplification sinceitn actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirablein the" statement of the invention scription.
andthe above de- 7 It will be apparent that changes in the details of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be. resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus-described my invention, what I claim as new is: r p
A mechanism of the class described comprising: a stand, a pair of spaced parallel frames rising from the stand, a pair of shafts, one located between and adjacent the upper portions of the frames and the other shaft positioned between and adjacent the lower portion of the frame, means for journalling the shaft in the frame, sprockets having spaced notches thereon, said sprockets .mounted on the shaft, endless chains having trays eye links trained over the sprockets, between the chains, said trays having right angular shaped brackets secured thereon, said brackets having trunnions projecting outwardly therefrom. to extend through the eyes forward on the links in the chains;
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature. ORA F; FULLER.
